The 9 Best Bars & Clubs in Queenstown, South Island

February 15, 2022 Veronika Gaddis

Staggering beauty and heart-pumping thrills await in the resort town of Queenstown, which is also known for its Hobbits—much of the Lord of the Rings trilogy was filmed in the area. Outdoor enthusiasts flock to Queenstown for the kayaking, bungee jumping, jetboating, white-water rafting, hiking and skiing. More mild-mannered adventurers can take a quiet cruise through nearby Milford Sound, part of the Fjordland National Park World Heritage area, or sample South Island pinot noir from one of the region's 75 wineries.

Had the best time here and great for photos. I didn’t have a booking so I rang up and the friendly staff said I could go in the next session that was happening in 10minutes. Great time, ice sculptures were amazing and the cocktail was lovely. Awesome how it’s included in the entry price and better value than their competition. They gave a warm jacket, boots and gloves to wear. Just a suggestion maybe alternate bar staff at the bar so people can buy extra drinks which will be better for your business :-) I’m going back again :-)

The best bar to visit in Queenstown. Went with family on Monday night and Wednesday night. Was there till close both nights. Bar staff were amazing and very accommodating. Never been to a bar with such a huge variety of music to cater to all tastes. Free pizza on Wednesday night also. Bar Staff, extremely friendly. Two different bouncers on each night, both relaxed and easy going which is refreshing. Also had the pleasure to meet the owner of the bar. Amazing story which explains why the atmosphere is so welcoming. Bar staff genuinely look like they are a big family. Enjoyed my time so much had to come back with a memento ????????
