Pohjolan toimitalo

One of the best known Jugend style buildings in Helsinki with exquisite details and the finest staircase in town. It was built in 1901. Its facade and interiors represent pilot work for the National Revival by architects Gesellius, Lindgren and Saarinen. Sibelius Finland Experience concerts take place at New Years time and from May to September everyday at12:00.

Helsinki Central Railway Station

Helsinki railway station, designed by a globally recognized architect Eliel Saarinen, is a monumental landmark in the capital of Finland. One the most stunning stations in Europe. Opened in 1919 it is very much a building of its era, stylish and spacious with what must be most elegant Burger King in the world inside! The trains displays are clear and the building kept clean in spite of the food outlets!

Now known as the Government Palace, it was designed by the renowned Carl Ludwig Engel as the Senate of what was then the autonomous Grand Duchy of Finland. Today it is home to Government Offices. It has a marvellous facade with the yellow and white features looking particularly attractive against the blue sky.
