Erhard's professionalism was evident from first contact. He replied quickly and designed an itinerary that perfectly suited my interests. In 6 days we covered 1,000 miles and (owing to Erhard's excellent planning) had plenty of time at every destination: Chichen Itza, beautiful colonial cities, great local food, the jungle ruins at Calakmul, and much more, all expertly explained by Erhard. I cannot imagine a better traveling companion and feel that I now have a friend in Mexico. Very highly recommended!

This is the perfect combination of culture, history and adventure. As soon as your cruiseship arrives to Costa Maya Port, travel through history from the Mayans to the pirates. Start your adventure in one of the least explored archeological sites in the Maya Zone that date back to 200 BC. and let yourself be surprised by the incredible monuments, flora and fauna that the jungle has to offer you. After visiting the jungle and the Mayan city of Chacchoben, we will go to the Bacalar lagoon, a famous haven for pirates, where you can relax, swim or enjoy a kayak ride in the refreshing waters of the spectacular seven-color lagoon. Take a short break eating some delicious fajitas with your favorite drink at the edge of the lagoon or just enjoy the breeze and incredible landscape. We recommend this tour if you visit Costa Maya for the first time.

Exclusions: $5.00 USD copyright fee for the use of cameras at Chacchoben. This is paid directly at the site., The use of tripods and drones are prohibited at the Mayan Ruins, Gratuities, Souvenirs
We had a wonderful time in Bacalar with our fantastic guide Elliot. It was very windy that day so we decided to not kayak and instead used tubes and went swimming, the water was beautiful shades of blue and greens. The food and drinks were awesome and Elliot was full of knowledge and made our time there an awesome experience. Please tell Elliot if he ever gets to NY to look up Bob and Kim, also Brent and Brenda, you are more than welcome into our homes.

At Chacchoben mayan ruins you’ll be leaded by a professional local guide. We will walk in the jungle to explore and learn about the different structures of the mayan site such as: Temple 24, Plaza B, Gran Plaza, Gran Basamento, Los Gemelos, Las Vasijas and Templo Uno. This excursion also offers the possibility to learn about local plants and observe some species of local fauna, including birds and spider monkeys. At Bacalar lagoon the first place to visit is “Cenote Esmeralda”, where you’ll be amazed by the different shades of blue and understand why the Bacalar Lagoon is frequently referred as the 7 colors lagoon. The next point to enjoy will be “Black Cenote” which is an open sky cenote and also the deepest point of the lagoon. The final spot to explore is the Pirate Channel, as you’ll be explained that day, pirates used to enter Bacalar by using this channel to steal local precious wood.
Inclusions: Snacks, Beer and Tequila, Soda/Pop, Bottled water, Lunch, Insurance, Round trip transportation
Exclusions: Gratuities
Very good experience to some of the lesser known mayan ruins. The place was almost desolated and we could enjoy the ruins with only the jungle sounds. Our guide Alondra was knowledgeable and nice, and the transport was clean and on time. Highly recomended

It was our first time paddle boarding and we really enjoyed the experience. The guide was helpful and taught us how it is done. We arrived at the beach just before sunset and he prepared the boards and put the led lights under them. We really enjoyed the sunset view as we paddled out. Once it was dark, we turned on the led lights and we could see clearly the coral reef beneath us. There where so many stars in the sky! We turned the lights off and even saw bioluminescence as we paddled through the tranquil water. It was a very relaxing and enjoyable moment. We will do it again upon our next visit

The Guide Tzamn is one of the best guides I‘ve ever had around the world so far! I was travelling a lot and my experience with Mextisoul was one of the best! Very competent, deep knowledge about various cultures which impressed me a lot. Very reliable, helpful and kind! It was a great experience to travel 3 days though Yucatan with Tzamn, the owner of Mextisoul... I really recommend to book a trip! It‘s worth the money! I was/am very satisfied! Would definitely book again when next time in Yucatan!???? (btw. I was travelling there in May 2019, but could not select that)
