Lovely family winery with totally engaged staff. We participated in a cooking lesson followed by a wonderful lunch featuring their beautiful Sauvignon and Tannat wines and traditional Uruguayan lunch. The owner Alexandra was our lovely host all day and communicated with our group in English, Spanish , Italian and even in French with my spouse. Highly recommended for a true Bodega experience.

We arranged directly with the Bodega Bouza winery for a tour and wine tasting lunch during our one day cruise stop in Montevideo. The van picked us up just across the street from the cruise ship pier. While the winery was very busy because of the national holiday, the tour group at the winery was small and in English. After enjoying the lovely scenery and winery buildings we had an excellent wine tasting lunch. There are two set menus to choose from, so my husband and I each had a different one - we tasted and drank everything that way. The wines were excellent and the food was delicious and interesting. This was one of the best experience we had during our cruise. Easy to arrange directly with the winery and very smoothly run. Excellent experience - we highly recommend! Thy explained that if you pay at the winery by credit card you are not charged the tax, therefore don't pay in cash.

Hi, youre planning to visit Montevideo and are looking for tours. Well we arrived into the city by cruise ship and had a privete tour with bbq booked. This tour started at $135 usd, and worked its way down as the number of people going increased. Eventually we ended up at $96. Imagine my surprise when coming off the dock, there were cabs everywhere offering the same tour without bbq for $20 each for 4 persons. Then after getting into the mini bus doing up our seat belts, we moved about 250mtrs and we were at the first attraction, the 2nd was another 300mtrs. My suggestion to you is walk, or take a cab. You can buy a sensational meal for a out $20 a head in that city. Heres hoping that by us spending you can learn and save. Good touring everyone.
