I was nervous traveling post-quarantine, but our tour guide, Kenneth, frequently reminded us to wash our hands, sanitized his vehicle twice throughout the day, and kept his mask on. This tour is the best way to introduce yourself to traveling again.

Eduardo was superb. He is super knowledgeable and has a great friendly personality. He drove us around all the neighborhoods explaining everything from history to little quirks. Eduardo answered all our questions. There was never a dull moment. He even took us to see the old U.S. embassy where my dad worked 53 years ago. My dad recognized the photo immediately. Thank you so much for a first-rate tour. We are arranging another tour through Thumbs Up Tours for this weekend at Manuel Antonio National Park.

TERRIBLE. They told us to be there at 7:15 but the boat didn't leave until TWO HOURS LATER cause they were waiting for two tourist groups who showed up incredibly late. Two hours we could've spent at the island instead of being stranded on a boat. The boat was PACKED, no minimum distance between people in the middle of a pandemic. Really regret spending my money with them.

Discover the magic of a dream Island, Tortuga Island. It is located in the Gulf of Nicoya, 12 nautical miles from Puntarenas, Tortuga Island (called Tolinga by the indigenous people) has an area of 120 hectares and remains a protected forest; which, has enjoyed the Ecological Blue Flag for more than five years. This distinction is given to beaches in our country that have their waters free of contamination. Due to its geographical characteristics, its waters are turquoise in color and are optimal for swimming. Our Catamaran has three different environments for your enjoyment: the main room with air conditioning, bar section and dressing rooms; Another area is the bow with a wonderful view of all the landscapes where we will sail; and, our upper deck, an area equipped for your rest; in which, you can enjoy a large jacuzzi.

Let me start out by saying we did have a good time this last weekend with our day cruise to Tortuga Island with Bay Island Cruises, with the exception of the drinks. The Pina Coladas, Daiquiris, Mojitos had NO alcohol, if any, less than 2%. I was drinking ALL DAY, not even close to a buzz, and I am not much of a drinker. In the states, three glasses, I would have been hammered... on this event, no buzz, at all. I brought this up to the Server throughout the day, 5 TIMES. I said "Why do you serve drinks with NO alcohol?. Each time he said "I will fix it", and the next drink, NO DIFFERENT. At one point I said "Load the damn glass with Bacardi!, I will pay for whatever cost".. still nothing, crazy. I don't blame the server, I blame the company. The server was very attentive, and awesome, I know he could only do so much. So, I just want to let the reviewers know, we had a great time. Be careful with spending money on the foo foo drinks, as there is no alcohol, or extremely little. However, to get a good buzz on, go for the whisky. That will do it. My lady was drinking whisky, and she was doing real goood.... its hard to water down whisky and get away with it. So, I would have given 5 stars, but, the expensive drinks with no alcohol and the inability to resolve the situation was way below expectations. Again, I recommend this cruise for a great time, but, certainly not on the expensive drinks served as 'alcoholic drinks.
