We had to drop of my wife's sister here, the house is right by the main street. It is far from Da Nang by car, but at least the highway from Hoi An is good and fast. And we came from Hue. It was raining when we got there but stopped. Still there were people doing the usual photo stops and selfies. Don't know how much the locals make off of visitors, other than parking or the one little coffee stop that does a good business. We were here 11 years ago and not much has changed, but the murals are good and it is good to see that people cared to do this here. At least it is a start and it is only about a year since it began.

About 7km away from Tam Ky City Centre, Tam Thanh beach is a very beautiful, uncommercialized with few resorts, restaurants or services. Travelers who come here during summer time ( peak season is from April to July) can enjoy this hidden gem with Emerald water, safe-for-swiming water level, and a perfect get-away from the busy cities.
Another rural Vietnamese beach stretching to the horizon with NO-ONE on it. NO, there are no crews cleaning the beach, so expect to find the usual flotsam and jetsam.
Even in January the water is warm enough to have a fabulous time in the water.
Not a surfer myself, I can't judge the matter, but an American brought his board and spent ~ hour in the water .....

We visited in Nov 2014 as part of our journey to revisit where my brother was stationed during the Vietnam war. He remembered visiting the towers back then so he wanted to see again. Pictures from 1971 compared with today differ very little. It was rainy so we didn't wander around the towers too much. Also, our driver advised us that because of the amount of rains in recent years, a very venomous green snake has thrived and could be on the grounds. We were told it's poison had been killing Vietnamese kids so there was a run on garlic. Garlic spread around a house would keep the snakes away. Needless to say, we didn't go into the towers. The towers are slightly off the road. There is no designated parking place; just pull over and park on the side. They are not well marked. There is a sign indicating the towers.

Khuong My towers is a group of three towers in line from the north to the South. Their specific architecture reflects a traditional Champa style with three levels, the upper level representing the stereotype of the lower one with a sandstone top.
Khuong My Towers show the first style of Champa architecture influenced by the Khome design (curled and deep carved leaves and lozenges representing diagonal and stylish flowers). This is the specific design of Khome art dated from the 9th and 10th centuries.
We travelled about 2 hours from Hoian to KhuongMy tower, you should spend 1 day when visiting My Son Towers, Chien Dan Towers and Khuong my towers if you are really interresting in Cham Culture in Quang Nam province .
There is a new pagoda nearby but we love this tower

The history says that the tunnel was built by villagers during the early period of the French war in 1947. It sheltered guerrillas and protected militia from raids by the French, and then the US Army in the late 1960s
No one there to take care this place for tourists, so bring some guide if you want to go.
This place nice & cool place. There are many tunnels and it's amazing that creater.
