Dako Island

Reviewed By Faithy18 - Las Pinas, Philippines

We had our lunch in this island, it has lunch areas managed by different resorts. They charge a fee of 100 per cottage. The current is a bit rough on the shore but you can still take photo ops on the beach.

Magpupungko Beach

Reviewed By mppagus - Iloilo City, Philippines

The rock pools clearly visible during low tide. But would get very2 crowded often so. Come early like an hour before low tide to appreciate more. Crystal clear water and amazing pool formation behind the rock formation :)
Just be careful of sea urchins hiding in the pools. There are a lot of them. And as well if tide is shifting to high tide. The waves are bad and can push you to the rocks.
Bring everything water prof. lol. The locker area is a walk to the pool and can't enjoy much of swimming when you need to attend to your belongings a few meters from you.

Guyam Island

Reviewed By Island_boy75 - Philippines

I was in Guyam Island 15 years ago for the first time. We went with a tiny boat and it was only us. it was exclusive and special. I returned just a few days ago and it's nothing like that anymore. Greed and stupidity have damaged the unique ambience. There was a dozen boats parked in front of the island making it impossible to swim ! That sounds ridiculous but that's how careless boatmen are here. They have ruined the place, not worth going anymore.

Magpaponko Swimming Hole

Reviewed By cheyannepepper - Hong Kong, China

Its a 40min drive from town, then there is a fee for walking onto the beach, not sure what they are using the fee for, there is no swimming at high tide, and garage on the beach. The swimming hole is super cool, and the rock jumping is fun, but you NEED water shoes for sure! Bring a snorkel, you cant rent them there. We ordered food, it took an hour to get. Most of the coral is dead, but the place is stunning anyway. Wish they were using the fee to protect it.

Cloud 9 Surfing Tower

Reviewed By jeckli - Cebu City, Philippines

Cloud 9 Surfing Tower is the symbol of Siargao because it is where judges from local and international scene will converge to judge surfers for a Surfing competition.
The place is mere simple yet when you will be there to witness an event, you can get the mood and the intensity of the competition.
It is also perfect for picturesque photos as a souvenir of Siargao.

Alegria Beach

Reviewed By Herman D - Baguio, Baguio, Philippines

the sand incline must be over 30 degrees and it's not a very firm ground so that walking can be a great challenge. You can go easily tired in your 20 meter walk. I tried to get as far as I could but have to make a couple of stops to relax my legs, coming back I have to go by way of the more stable upper ground.
The swim is great here also, very safe for kids -- ONLY IF IT'S LOW TIDE. Otherwise, at high tide it can be very deep, and the abrupt incline does not help (at about 8 feet depending on season). Try getting there during weekdays, skip weekends as it can be filled with locals.

Mamon Island

Reviewed By Bent G - Makati, Philippines

We were fishing around Siargao when our boat man suggested we drop by Mamon Island. When we landed I noticed the super clear blue water around the island. There was no one there except us. Nothing to do but swim. This island wasn't that far from the port of General Luna as we took a speedboat.
