I have been eating, loving, and working with hot chili peppers since I was a kid of only eight years old. I remember selling peppers and limes to the tourists in Nassau at that time in 1962. Somewhere along the way, creating magical flavours has become my life’s work. I love sharing them with you and enhancing (and igniting) your every bite. My company manufactures food products made with real food ingredients for an ever growing list of companies. We use a slow fair trade philosophy and we are sensitive to keeping our food as close to the earth as we can for both Peppermaster and our other customers. In other words, EVERYTHING in the store, I, the Peppermaster, Greg Brooks, with the help of my kitchen staff, make in house. We welcome visitors from all over the world and particularly enjoy entertaining groups of up to 15 - 30 people. We offer sampling and at the right time of year and/or for the right size groups, will fire up the fire roaster. We do offer wheelchair access via the back door. If you can't visit the shop during usual hours; 9-5 weekdays, 10-5 weekends (exept Dec. 25-Jan 1)

Discovering the sanctuaire, or Sanctuary (In english) totally by accident as I was expecting it to be just a hiking trip up to MT-Rigaud, I was blown away by the size and scale of the sanctuaire, both as a place of worship and a real interesting place to visit. Before visiting the Sanctuaire you can take the path up to MT-Rigaud which is a mere 20 minute walk 1 way to the summit crossing the river of granite rocks, shaded paths en route to the lookout offering a 360degree view of Rigaud and the region; Following your descent back to the base, you'll have a great time and be in Awe exploring the Sanctuaire, the chappel and the surrowndings. The size of it all is pretty impressive and you will surely spend more time than you anticipated to check it all out, Make sure to pack a lunch as you will definitely be wanting to picnick on site. either on the summut or at the sanctuaire itself.

My favorite place is climbing Mont Rigaud. Doable within 2 hours, following trail on right side starting from the ruins of an old church, you follow the trail, walk through what is known as the potato fields (2 open field of rock), just keep to the trail to make it to the cross. If you climb in the summer, wear bug spray and be prepared for ladybugs in mass. The sight from the top is heaven. You see many lakes and towns and field of crop from.above. it is a sight to behold. If you go with small children, be prepared to carry them; leave stroller at home, but I do suggest a wine and cheese feast at the top. It is completely worth it. I am intentionally avoiding sharing photos and compel you to bring your own to wide screen shots or videos. You will not regret the experience. Note to readet: i do this climb 4 times from spring to fall. Good workout, highly recommend early morning climbs to avoid crowds on the trails.
