Great Hope is a nice course with some challenging holes. The greens and fairways are kept in very good condition. The course is pretty wide open, with a few holes where water can be an issue. Also a couple of holes where if you slice or hook your ball will be in the woods.

Some very nice sculptures, carvings, and bird-related art. There were a ton of ducks, but we prefer the other types of birds as they were prettier. I liked the bird house exhibit. It would be cool if there were more interactive exhibits like push a button and hear the bird sound.
They also have a short walking trail around the lake.
Admission $7/pp. Discounts for seniors, AAA, children, or military (free). There is also a half price coupon online.

Bordelau's location on the water and tasting room are lovely. The wine is excellent, and all of the wine is made from grapes grown on the property. Our favorite wine was the cabernet franc, but we enjoyed everything we tasted. The Winery is only about 40 minutes from Ocean City and is a good side trip when you're headed to/from the beach. There are picnic tables near the water's edge, and you can bring your own picnic. It was too cold for sitting outside in January, but we will definitely go back in warmer weather!

Tours do NOT enter haunted properties.
4 hours of great stories and places. Time went by so fast. So much history and folklore. I could have rode the bus all night listening to Missy talk. Missy told great stories, history with folklore, history teachers could learn from her.
Can’t wait for the next tour.

Unusual in being entirely funded by the city, Salisbury Zoo is free to the public. No, you won't see tigers or pandas. However, you will be very close to spectacled bears, a jaguar, coatis (frequently active), an ocelot, and cute wallabies. A gift shop and cafe are open spring through fall.

The Somerset County Visitors Center is located on Route 13 just west of the Princess Anne town center. This is a nice rest stop in a grove of pine trees with picnic tables, grills and quirky rest rooms. Inside the small center we spoke with a very friendly informative woman that gave us a nice overview of Princess Anne and the surrounding areas we were to visit over the weekend. Plenty of brochures, maps and an outdoor exhibit make this center top notch for it's size. Since this is a north south thoroughfare there was information covering all of Maryland as well as Norfolk and the Outer Banks for travelers heading south thru the Chesapeake Bay Bridge Tunnel.

Manokin River Park begins where you cross the Manokin River bridge as you enter the downtown historic district of Princess Anne. The park meanders about a mile thru town around the historic police station towards route 13. In town the historic Election House, built in 1870 overlooks the river and the eastern end of the park. The park has grills, picnic tables, a pavilion, playground and even a launch area for kayaks and canoe's. The park area was once the head of navigation on the Manokin River.

I love going to Pemberton Historical Park to walk the nature trails with my wife and three year old. The scenery is awesome and the wildlife is plentiful.
