We visited here in the spring of 2019, and it was a very informative spot that taught us a bit about local music history. I would highly recommend it as part of any visit, to learn about this wonderful town.

My name is Jutta and I love fossil spotting while walking along the stunning West Clare beaches. When I first recognised patterns in local rocks as fossils, I wondered what they were, when they were formed and what they might mean. I found creatures that nestled into the sand on a tidal beach much like the current one at Seafield, ammonoids which drifted in a deep ocean at Spanish Point, extinct plants, and corals that flourished in tropical, clear waters and can now be seen in Lahinch.
