Simply the best day of our holiday! The Dikelas team were friendly and very professional, taking us on a superb day snorkelling to the Petalli Islands, to locations that could easily be in a Bond movie. As a family we felt safe and well looked...MoreThank you for the preference. We hope to see you next year!

This is at the top of Mount Ochi, and it is quite a climb up the mountain to visit the dragon house. It is still in relatively good condition, and the views from the top of mount Ochi are worth the climb. There is also a little church at the top.

We were here towards the end of November when the weather is still pleasant but there are hardly any tourists in the area. It was great to explore this desolate area with small villages scattered around, and have the Beaches within the coves all to ourselves.

Follow the signs to the village Myloi, standing above Karystos town. The castle is well visible from all sides near Karystos and actually dominates the gulf and the whole area. Historically, it is an important castle built right after the Frankish conquest of central Greece and Constantinople. The notorious, dark, Ravano dale Carceri built it and made it seat (at least initially) of his fiefdom. The history of Ravano and his successors as well as what happened here could be an inspiration for a tv series. Now days, you can leave your car at the gates of the castle and continue on foot straight to the top. The castle has been partially renovated but it is not enough and much money and effort should be given in order to obtain its former splendor but at least you could have an idea from whatever remains. At the top there is a chapel of Prophet Ilias and right below its floor a huge cistern. The view from there, even for the most demanding visitor is really majestic. Please note that pets are allowed and there is no entrance fee but you should close the iron bar doors behind you in order to hinder domestic animals (e.g. goats) to enter in the archeological area. For sure, a visit there is well recommended.

A must stop shop in the center of Karystos, South Evia. Showcasing everything from bracelets to earrings and from unmissable beach clothes to lovely items for house decoration. Combining traditional Greece with creativity and style. I must definitely mention that the owners of the place make this shop even more special, great energy and always in for a friendly chat. Did I mention that everything is handmade? Simply amazing!
