We love this park. It's a little out of the way but offers several playgrounds for the kids. We love that it is spread out so even when there are a lot of people there is still plenty of room to play. Generally the park is clean and well kept. Also, the walking trails are nice to escape the playground. We take the kids with us and just have a nice scenic walk with the kids. If you want to take some nice pictures, this is a great location for photo opportunities as well.

Statue erected in 1919 in honor of the boll weevil, which bought both destruction and renewal to local farmers.
This is such an odd little statue of history. Its literally a woman holding up bug! lol. Its pretty neat though, its in the middle of an intersection in a fountain and its actually a cool little statue. My fiancé is stationed at Ft. Rucker so we went to check it out. The whole history behind the Boil Weevil is pretty interesting. I had no idea about any of it! Theres also some really cute shops along that street as well and some cool paintings on the buildings! I wouldn't drive out of my way to check this out, but if your in the area you should definitely stop and check it out!

Southern Broadway Dinner Theater is a jewel in south Alabama’s Wiregrass region. The productions are held throughout the year in the beautiful historic Hildreth Brothers building, a unique venue with special charm. The menus are superb; every meal a perfect accompaniment to the production and outstandingly presented in a friendly family style. The original shows range from historical drama to up-beat musicals plus everything in between, featuring fine talent from the local area and beyond. Dinner and a show with Southern Broadway is definitely an evening worth experiencing!
I decided to celebrate my birthday here and it was an excellent decision! The audience sit family style at round tables to partake in a delicious three course meal, followed by a play.
The meal alone is worth the admission! The play was performed well and it moved me! I must say it was the first time a live production had me tearing.
The total experience exceeded my expectations by far!
P.S. The cost of admission does not include the tip! I was embarrassed when I was unable to leave an appropriate cash tip and the staff totally earns every bit of it. I will leave double on my next visit!

All About Art is an EXCELLENT place for young children or for the "young at heart" there is something for everyone to do! They have classes on a couple Saturday's a month for children who want to paint or classes on Friday nights for moms who need to let their hair down and have a glass of wine and paint! They host art camps in the summer that my daughter loves as well! There is many types of art there that you paint!

Took my daughter and a friend here on a friday night. Came back at 9 and went inside and I was like gross! The snack area was so nasty tables covered in candy drinks spilled all over them I didn't even want to sit down. I know kids can be messy but dang you got employees working behind the snack bar doing nothing they could have at least been cleaning a little! Its run down! I remember when it first opened it was really nice! Only good thing I will say is it has a big nice skating area!

It's a good sized local museum with many artifacts from the early to mid 1900's. The woman was very enthusiatic about showing us around and they had a few interesting items but nothing really awesome or anything. Surprsingly not a really good local history section but for a small non-touristy town it is something.
