Dunkirk Lighthouse & Veterans Park Museum

The lighthouse and military museum were very good. The military museum had the most authentic artifacts we have ever seen. WW1 uniforms, a Nazi flag taken off a building in Italy, boots from Desert Storm. A room for each branch of the military. Kudos to the dedicated volunteers who oversee this priceless collection. We enjoyed our visit very much.

I love Papaya Arts, especially the kindness and taste of the owner. I bought a beautiful wood carving of Don Quixote for my husband which was very special. When he died, I wanted two more for my sons. She searched in Mexico City and found two hand carved Don Quixotes, each unique and lovely. Rose Sebouhian

Point Gratiot Park

A local person told us about Point Gratiot. Lovely spot for beach combing, even swimming if Lake Erie is in a good mood. We found beautiful smooth stones and beach glass. Great for an early morning walk, either along the water or in the grassy parts of the park. Beautiful place.

It's a friendly atmosphere. I like the DJs that they have there. I like the fact that there is a diverse group of people there and doesn't just cater to college students. It's even better during the summertime when thier patio is open. I go there quite a bit. I have a good time there.

Dunkirk City Pier

Willie Rosas (Mayor) and the team have done a great job getting the pier renovated and renewed. Some great benches, much improved lighting and a nice look and feel. We strolled around the pier during the week and were surprised how many people were enjoying the new pier which is still accessible to cars
