If you like biking on excellent paved and crushed rock trails that don't have sharp elevation trails, this trail is flat out incredible. It parallels an old canal, parts of which are still maintained. We rode on this trail system from Massillon to Akron. The entire trail was well maintained. Wildlife was plentiful. We biked on a cool (high 50s) but fairly sunny day. The turtles were piled up on logs (we counted one log with over 20 turtles on it), there were several blue herons exhibiting their gorgeous spring plumage, and we saw a couple deer. I would not recommend this for road bikes because of the occasional chipmunk holes, but others were riding road bikes in apparent comfort. We rode it on a mountain/hybrid tandem. Bring your own food or plan to go significantly off the bike path to eat.

Operated by the City of Canal Fulton and the Canal Fulton Heritage Society, the St. Helena III Canal Boat rides offer the public the chance to ride a replica cargo canal boat pulled by two work horses one mile south and back on the original Ohio & Erie Canal. The boat travels past the renovated McLaughlin Dry Dock and Lock 4. During the one hr ride, the crew steer with a rudder and poles while a historian on board provides facts and stories of life during Ohio’s canal era.

Sluggers & Putters is a really nice small amusement park / family entertainment center. It's two miniature golf courses are very creative -- full of surprises, very shaded and nicely photogenic -- the kind you can play frequently and not grow tired of. One course has a lot of pieces from a nearby Mother Gooseland that closed decades ago; and the Old Skool course has lots of really fun holes , including one where golfers simply roll their ball down a playground slide to land on the green. The miniature golf courses and the entire complex is very well maintained and nicely landscaped in a peaceful, natural setting that includes lots of trees and a small pond. I've always found the staff members to be polite and friendly. The F-22 Raptor Go Karts are excellent. The Retro Ride Zone is what really sets Sluggers & Putters apart from other places. The Lil' Dipper roller coaster is awesome for little kids, but big kids (full size adults) are welcome too. There's also cool NASCAR-style bumper cars, a Scrambler and Flying Swings in addition to several kiddie rides. The food here is pretty good too. The menu is simple burgers, chicken strips and ice cream that you'd expect, but the quality is quite good. The seating area offers shade and is very pleasant as well. There's also batting cages, an arcade and an extensive outdoor laser tag area as well.

As a micro distillery, we specialize in producing craft spirits in small barrel batches with close attention paid to the details. All ingredients are from local resources in Northeastern Ohio and processed directly by the owner himself. Traditional distilling methods combined with new-age distilling technology ensure a consistently smooth and quality whiskey. Our featured product is Apparition Original Moonshine, a clear, unaged corn whiskey made from traditional corn mash with corn grown right up the road. Smooth and nostalgic tasting...just like our grandfathers made.
