For my birthday I got a surprise Delivery of a CW2 called "Dolly". With Dolly I took half of my birthday party for a short round trip. As she is definitely not the most discrete car, soon my entire neighbourhood was in the streets and watched us going forwards and backwards .
On day No. 2 our trip took us back to its truthful owner. We avoided motorways at all costs and benefited from views and corners we have never seen before. Along the way we got cheered and waved at as if we were royalty. For once being not the fastest on the road is a real experience and as said before: a drive of a different kind.

We were so lucky that there was a special exhibition going on that absolutely thrilled my boys (ages 6 and 8) -- LEGO! Each person got a box of Lego with instructions on an iPad how to assemble a part of a Roman village and army camp. Then you put the part that you built onto a huge table and link it up with other peoples' builds. It was so cool. My sons built part of the city wall and also a weapons room.

First, this a difficult place to get to. It's a way out of the town of Brugg, down some narrow roads, but once there it's a bit like entering a time capsule. There are six or so steam locomotives plus some old electric locomotives. Most of the steam engines are in working order, some are only allowed out on the demonstration tracks while others can work on the SBB tracks.
It's a museum, a workshop and an engine shed (depot). It's not glamorous, it's not commercialised but it's genuine and well worth making the effort to visit.

I have been there several times, eating the Thai buffet they serve at lunch time, it is really good, I like spicy food and this is great. You can have a couple of options as well if you do not like hot food or even if you are vegetarian, just keep in mind you have to come early (near 12) if you want to still find all option in the buffet

Yes, this shop has a strong character! Take a look, even only at the website, and you'll see what I mean. Words that come to me are "belle-epoque dolls"-style. Probably this is not even close to describe it but for lack of better terms... So, a strong style backbone is there. Do I like it? No. But I can think of a number of people I know who would enjoy a gift like that. And at the earliest chance some of them will get one from me, too.

The Museum of Witchcraft, Switzerland offers a variety of wonderful exhibits. Old Oracle Cards, Tarots, Runes, Crystal Ball and Fortune Telling Cups. Since many years Wicca Meier-Spring (the founder and Manager of the Museum) searches the old archives in Switzerland and claims all the dates and names of persons executed as Witches in Switzerland. The name lists of these poor people are to be seen too, together with two executions swords from the 17th century.
