A wonderful time! The tour guide was very informative on not only the technical aspects of the submarine, but the human side as well. The submarine is very well preserved, and is a wonderful treat for anyone interested in submarines and the Cold War naval history.

It was a sunny day in November and we decided to visit East Beach. Lake Erie was peaceful that day so visit was memorable to this serene site. There are public washrooms but were closed due to COVID which is understandable. People were maintaining social distancing. The sandy beach was clean and view was mesmerizing. It was not at all crowded as it was not a summer day. There was plenty of parking. The lighthouse and museum is nearby but we did not visit because of restrictions. A gem to be explored in summer.

Great atmosphere. My wife and I recently revisited, was a busy place. Park day pass now $15.50. We got there about 11:00-parking lot 5 was full, lot 4 were nearly full and the cars were circling the lot when we were unpacking. After these two lots it's a long walk from lot 3. If it's a weekend and the weather is hot, recommend get there on early. We found a spot luckily. We talked to someone there who said the day before they were ticketing cars that were parked on the grass. Weekdays no issue with parking. We did the 15 minute walk as expected and found a spot on the beach to enjoy the day. There are still lots of old logs, too bad these can't be cleaned up. The water was great - clear, warm, great to cool off. There were mostly couples, a few hard core regulars enjoying their day-all nude! Lots of room to properly social distance and to be comfortable, no hassles with gawkers so come out and enjoy. If you've never tried a nude beach, this is the place for you. You can sit quietly with your other half as close or far away from the water as you like and no one will bother you. You can try it at your own pace, no one judging you. On your way out, take all your garbage with you. We saw very little trash laying around. There are waste/recycling boxes on the park side near parking.

My niece and I loved our tour of the museum. We were pleasantly surprised by the amount of item in the extensive displays. Staff were very pleasant and knowledgeable. Despite my fear of heights, I made it to the top of the small, steep stairs of the lighthouse and was awarded with a magnificent view. Very reasonably priced for the two tours. I heartily and happily recommend!
