The Chapel is built on a large even plot located southwest of the village and at a distance of approximately 1000 metres from the centre of the village. The Chapel is a single-roomed Basilica. It’s a building built with stone extracted from Lemesos while the masonries consist of a double stony layer and are quite thick.

Easy to miss, the centre is just past the junction for the road to St Nicholas Monastery and Ladys Mile Beach. If you get to the RAF base entrance you have gone too far. Well worth a visit to understand the wildlife and plant life in the area. Interactive displays and viewing deck with telescopes. Such a treat to see the flamingos in their natural environment on the salt lake.

Second visit to this lovely area. November. This time the Flamingos where there. 1000s of them . My wife was ecstatic. As last visit we didn’t see any. Must go to the visitors centre they have some great exhibits and binoculars to see the Flamingos. If your lucky may even see fighter jets landing at airfield. A great stop off for all the family.
