The Leone Museum was founded in 1910, from the love for his land and the passion for the art of the notary Camillo Leone, who on his death (1907) donated all his possessions and collections to the citizen Institute of Fine Arts. The Museum exhibits archaeological and ancient art collections that illustrate the history of Vercelli and its territory from its origins to the early twentieth century, and a precious collection of decorative art (majolica, glass, furniture, etc.). A rich ancient library, which contains more than 1200 incunabula, cinquecentine and illuminated manuscripts, completes the collection.
