Concord's historic Main Street area is home to various sites of cultural significance, including Railroad Square, the Eagle hotel, which hosted such notable guests as Eleanor Roosevelt and Richard Nixon, The Pierce Manse, former home of President Franklin Pierce, and the State House, the oldest state capitol in which the legislature meets in its original chambers. Far more than the sum of its history, Concord boasts a popular planetarium, plentiful performing arts and an international speedway.

NH's State House - with the oldest continuously used legislative chambers! Opened in June 1819! Home of the General Court of NH!
Full of nooks and crannies, this very old building exudes Yankee thrift and durability. Set amid the town, and not walled off from the flow of life, the capitol building screams New Hampshire. Live free or die!

The Capitol Center for the Arts is the largest and most successful performing arts center in New Hampshire and has helped position Concord as a cultural destination. Its richly varied programming attracts diversified audiences. Broadway, ballet, rock, and country & western fans alike travel from all over New England to attend performances at the Capitol Center.
Beautiful venue - very clean, and I don’t think there’s a bad seat in the house. The sound was great - would definitely recommend.

Offers information about New Hampshire sanctuaries and has an observation area and trails.
Just a few minutes off the highway, the Audubon Center is a "must-see" for nature lovers. There are several well maintained hiking trails. We took the yellow trail through a beautiful woodland to the pond. The trail is well marked and mostly level, but the protruding roots and rocks demand hikers' attention. In the welcome center there is a classroom where visitors can get up close to study preserved animals. This was one of my favorite spots. There is also a building in the back where injured raptor are housed. The 90 minutes we were here were well spent. Our thanks to those who care for this land and it's animals.

I took my wife and my step duaghter here to pick apples for their first time. The ride to the orchard was amazing cause you keep going farther in the woods then you go up a hill. As soon as you come out of the woods, it is a beautiful view. You have a great variety of apples to pick.I would highly recommend bringing a camera. This is definitley a family adventure.

A third generation candy business established in 1927. Makers of gourmet chocolate, fine confections and super premium homemade ice cream.
Our family always buys chocolates from Granite State Candy for special occasions and gifts. We send the milk chocolate malt balls to relatives in the west. Personal favorites are the dark chocolate dipped Oreos and milk chocolate peanut butter cups! Summer time brings AMAZING ice cream flavors and add-ins. Truly a treasure in downtown Concord.
