It is fantastic that Colwyn Bay Theatre has got involved with National Theatre Live For anyone who doesn’t know what NTL is, it’s a way fantastic way of seeing London West End shows and The Royal Shakespeare Company productions your door step and at a fraction of the cost. They beam it live from the Theatre in London, sometimes they do encore showings which is a recording of a live performance. Apart from NTL, Colwyn Bay Theatre also have a fantastic Christmas Pantomime and show current films. The staff are always friendly and it is always very clean.

What a lovely promenade this is for sure. It’s good flat walking with a lovely view of the beach and the sea, plus some interesting information on some flagstones. Nice cafés too. Great way to spend a sunny Sunday.

Welsh Mountain Zoo

This conservation zoo has a wide range of rare and endangered animals from around the world.

I found the Welsh Mountain Zoo captivating and chimpanzee enclosure area where public sat for 15 - 20 mins interesting for animal lovers and informative ..Chimps not in there long enough to cause distress and in a family group ...Captive maybe, but a small group of chimps protected and loved by staff, you could see that clearly and not just for our entertainment ...Another outside area to go to later Loved by the zoo you could see that and the young man who cared for their group. Amazing to be so close to a species under threat ... Flamencos in a beautiful spot .. Sea Lion well fed and all seals swimming freely and a chat to the public same man about plastic, the environment and conservation...Generally very informative for animal lovers who care Otters photo here very happy ... Deer, horses, emu, all amazing in bright sunshine ... I did not get chance to see all the animals Tiger was asleep after feeding in his sleeping area and has a huge section later to play and be a tiger Good value for money under £7 and best day out ever for me personally Highly recommend to visit, and will go again 2020 ... Conservation is importa\nt to protect wildlife and the Snow Leopard will get a bigger area soon to roam freely that is being built ..

Colwyn Bay Beach

Reviewed By sunseasandtime - Conwy, United Kingdom

Millions have been spent over the past 5 years making this one of the best beaches in the UK. It’s quietly become a real asset to North Wales... New sand has been pumped in, the water is blue flag, there’s kiosks and a decent restaurant at Porth Eirias, toilets, water sports and a fantastic prom with a cycling lane and flat walks for miles. Neighbouring Rhos on Sea is a 15 minute walk with its shops and cafes. It wasn’t a surprise to see how popular it’s become over the Summer. A really well thought out regeneration!
