Or you might choose to go horse riding along our picturesque trails where you can see right back to the coast. Our well trained horses suit all riders, we take novice riders to experienced, all ages from 5 yrs to 85 yrs. If you prefer we can take you four wheel driving on the same trails as the horses, stop at Pine Tree falls and go for a swim, be careful though you just might not want to leave.

If you are in Mackay and you enjoy water sports then Wakehouse is a must visit. Great facilities, staff that are passionate about wakeboarding and great coffee and food from the lakeside cafe. Also the aquapark is a great option to get the kids out on the water.

Fantastic spot for the kids to cool off. Has a waterslide and different pools to swim in with shallow pool for smaller kids. Nice grassy areas to sit by the pool. Facilities are clean too.

The Mackay Entertainment and Convention Centre (MECC) is the largest convention and banqueting facility between Cairns and Brisbane in Queensland, Australia. We parked the car at Iluka Park and followed the path to the boat ramp. Nice, wide pathway with lots of rest areas and information boards along the way. A new looking toilet block is located at the boat ramp end of the path.

the Mackay botanic gardens, although as a botanic garden it is very young. But it is still very interesting walk is a very plesant one. plenty of shade on hot days. very well laid out with easy walking concrete paths covering the hole gardens. there is also easy access toilets a gift shop and a very plesent Cafe. all in all a very pleasant place to visit.
