Although the name suggests otherwise, the Blue Mountains is an actual town in Grey County that consists of several small communities including Thornbury, Christie Beach, Clarksburg, Heathcote and Ravenna. The area is very picturesque and scenic in the summer months and during "apple season" in the autumn, but the town is most famous for its mountains. Tourists flock to Intrawest's Blue Mountain Ski Resort year-round for its wide array of offerings. If you aren't in the mood for skiing or snowboarding, take a stroll through Blue Mountain Village and enjoy a coffee at one of the cafes or a meal in one of the many restaurants located in the village.

Melissa at Axed was very accommodating to our last minute mid-morning booking for our family of four. Our 17 year old daughter was the lead in choosing this 'cool' event, to compensate for a rained out ski day. And, crazy but true - with no age restrictions, our 4.5 year old boy was able to be part of the fun! Instruction on safety and technique was very effective. Melissa was awesome with all ages, very personable and energetic. We'd go again just for the competition...now that we know how to get the bullseye!

We are a family of 4 with children aged 7 and 9. We stayed a few nights at Blue Mountain and had a wonderful time. There’s so much to do; the Ridge Runner, mini putt, obstacle courses, play areas, gondola rides, movies in the square, shopping, or just sitting at the dock enjoying the outstanding views of the mill pond. We even enjoyed taking the shuttle to the private beach where we had a relaxing time swimming and kayaking. We were all able to walk far into the lake, because it’s a good distance before it starts getting too deep for the kids. Overall, we had a wonderful time making lasting memories with our kiddies.

I'm not fond of coasters, but this was awesome. My husband and I visited as part of a weekend getaway. Staff were friendly, and one even took a picture of us before the ride started. The ride takes you up the mountain, and upon reaching the top you send yourself off. You can control how fast or slow you go, which put me at ease...by the end I was going full speed and enjoyed every moment. The view from the coaster was amazing. We're planning to return every season that its open for different views.

Located on a picturesque hilltop near Ravenna, Ontario with stunning views of Georgian Bay and only 20 minutes from Collingwood and Thornbury, The Roost vineyard and winery is a fantastic place to experience cold-climate wines in a spectacular setting. The Roost is about bringing friends and family together in a beautiful and relaxing setting, allowing them to dream away an afternoon or evening - accompanied by a glass of wine of course! Reservations are required to visit the winery. Please book through our website.
We had the loveliest time at this winery - a hidden gem in the area. Their attention to detail is evident everywhere, including pandemic protocols that put us at ease for an indoor wine tasting in their beautiful restored barn/tasting room. Moreover, when dark storm clouds rolled in and we received tornado warnings on our phones the owner graciously moved everyone downstairs to wait out the storm and do an impromptu winery tour. The wines exceeded our expectations and the staff were knowledgeable and attentive. And the cheese plate was so good! Highly recommend.

Blue Mountain, Ontario’s largest mountain village resort, is nestled on the shores of Southern Georgian Bay and spans across the beautiful Niagara Escarpment. Blue Mountain has evolved into a true four-season destination, and continually ranks among the top family-friendly resorts in Canada
We had been there for a numerous time. Staying in Mosaic for a fey days or just came in for night skiing. Day skiing is not good during weekend - too crowded, many school buses and community basses. Night skiing is awesome

My new husband and I are in town on a mini honeymoon for a few days. My family really enjoys cider so I was very excited to see the process. Sadly, the business is not open for tours. We decided to stay 7and try the tasting menu and I am so glad we did. Our flight today included honeycrisp, cranberry, blueberry-elderflower and blood orange ciders ($10 - great selection and totally worth it!) We additionally tried the raspberry and rose ciders ($8ish for a pint). Our personal fav was the cranberry. Our server knew qe had just had lunch and because the place wasn't busy, let us just sip and lounge for a few hours.
