Visit the historical O.Z. Tyler Distillery, Owensboro, Kentucky's only Bourbon Whiskey distillery. Gift shop open year-round and tours + tastings offered for a small fee. See how traditional Kentucky Bourbon Whiskey is made firsthand, then see our exclusive TerrePURE® technology in action.
We went to 9 other distilleries throughout our visit to Kentucky. OZ Tyler was our last stop and it was a great one. From the kind gentleman at the gate, friendly ladies in the gift shop, and our knowledgeable tour guide Adam, we had a wonderful experience here. Highly recommend the Honey Bourbon although all 3 OZ Tyler Bourbons were noteworthy. It’s a way off the trail but it was worth it!

Escape Today Owensboro features three fully functional and interactive Escape Rooms for all ages and skill levels. Axe throwing and a free to play arcade are also available in addition to KY's longest lasting RAGE ROOM! Groups ranging from 2-10 will participate in exciting/challenging mental puzzles and scenarios in hour long or half hour long segments. Our rooms and service far outperform our competition and aim to provide a wonderful leisure activity to our community. Try our Kidnapped Part IV, Game of Thrones, and Stranger Things themed rooms!
My friends and I did the Wizards Tale / Harry Potter themed room for my friends birthday and had an absolute blast! The puzzles were hard enough that it put the pressure on to get through everything, and the staff was beyond helpful with clues - even expanding on clues when we struggled with the basic hints they gave. I’ll definitely be going back!

The Bluegrass Music Hall of Fame & Museum is the world's only facility dedicated to the preservation of the international history of bluegrass music. Plan a trip to Western Kentucky and bring your instruments! Newly opened in 2018, the Hall of Fame features a 450 seat indoor concert venue and an outdoor amphitheatre. Attend our jam sessions, concerts, and the ROMP Bluegrass Roots & Branches Festival. Then walk the hills of Jerusalem Ridge, and visit the homeplace of Bill Monroe, just down the road. Exhibits: Bluegrass Hall of Fame, VOHP documentary series highlighting First Generation musicians, historically significant bluegrass instruments, the timeline of bluegrass music, following the roots from the Scots-Irish string bands to camp meetings and gospel quartets, through fiddling conventions, the jazz era, and the folk music revival.
This museum is great! We were traveling with a baby and I feel the length of it was very appropriate, especially for those with children. They also have an interactive section where people can try different Bluegrass instruments. The museum itself is right off of the river so you can easily access Smothers Park as well as grab lunch if you’re hungry.

Preservation Station Market, Restaurant, and Event Center is a 39,000 fully heated and air-conditioned former elementary school transformed into an antique, unique, boutique and vintage country mall and restaurant with over 60 permanent shops open daily Tuesday thru Saturday 10-5 and Sunday 9-5. The restaurant on-site serves Southern favorites and is open Tuesday through Friday 11am - 2pm, Saturday 11am - 3 pm with a Sunday Brunch Buffet 9 am - 2 pm. The facility can also be rented.
This antique mall is the antithesis of quaint. Unlike others of the kind it isn’t overcrowded, the vendors are laid out nicely and it’s easy to navigate (even with a stroller). The fact that it’s in an old school with parts of the school still in tact is just adorable.

While the museum was not expansive it has enough exhibits to be quite interesting! The second floor is dedicated to government/civics, which I very much enjoyed. I’d definitely come back again with our little one.
