What a great place with so much Navy fleet arm history this is definitely a must do while your in town or close by especially now that it’s FREE entry! The whole family loved the visit and my 3 year old kept talking about it the whole trip. Definitely worth the drop in just plan to take it slowly so you can see it all definitely 2 hours at least

A few blocks from the town centre of Nowra on NSW’s south coast, Meroogal is a rare and precious gem. Barely changed since it was built in the 1880s, the distinctive ‘Carpenter Gothic’ house has been loved and maintained by four generations of Thorburn and Macgregor women through the pleasures and labours of daily life. The house still overflows with their belongings – favourite books and ornaments, furniture, photographs, diaries and journals, newspaper clippings, receipts and recipes, appliances and clothes – and the garden, although reduced from its original size, still provides fruits and fresh produce that hint at their self-sufficiency and hospitality. Meroogal invites us into their lives, and through their private histories draws us into a shared and living past.
The Meroogal Women's Art Prize 2020 was exquisite! And to view it within the historic house was an added pleasure! The staff were so friendly and welcoming. Thank you for a wonderful hour!

We were surprised to find fish and other seafood there so affordable yet fresh. It's crowded so it must be popular among tourists and locals. Service was good too. Fish ordered was cleaned up before returning to be paid at cashier. Ample car parking just outside the store.

Bottlerocket Bar & Cafe is the Shoalhaven's only boutique cocktail bar and cafe. Step inside and you will delight at the impressively stocked bar, musically inspired decor, French oak wine barrels, retro chandeliers and booths that beckon. The friendly and relaxed atmosphere is complemented by the happy and helpful staff who are very passionate about cocktails, Two Figgs wine and craft beer. If you're driving, there's no need to miss out as Bottlerocket has a great selection of non alcoholic treats that will become fast favourites including Virgin Pina Coladas and Daiquiris. Bottlerocket also hosts regular events such as live music, DJ, trivia and theme nights. Bottlerocket is a 21 and over bar and cafe making it a perfect location for a business meeting, or quiet catch up with friends.
First time at this bar on Saturday night and I will defiantly be going back. Staff and atmosphere were great!

Shoalhaven is a foodie, nature and adventure lovers’ paradise! Brimming with national parks, bordered by a brilliant coastline, yet full of creature comforts in its 49 towns and villages. To get there, it's just a few hours drive from Sydney or Canberra. Animal encounters are a speciality. Whale watching at Jervis Bay and Ulladulla give you the chance to join the migration between May and November each year, and travel with humpback whales and southern right whales. There’s also resident dolphins, seals and even penguins all thriving here so jump on a cruise at Jervis Bay or Ulladulla, plan a dive charter or paddle tour to discover the wild side of the Shoalhaven. Shake the hands that feed you at 11 cellar doors, a brewery or two and plenty of farm gates and oyster farms or grab a table and let our chefs do the deciding for you. Visit Shoalhaven, many experiences, one destination!
The address is wrong, the map location is right. Very helpful at the desk as you go in. Plenty of parking. The Visitors center is also the library and a cafe so it will be busy. They have town maps and the woman that helped us was very helpful with hints on places to go with our dog.

This is neither a Hoyts or Greater Union. It’s an amazing retro cinema with friendly staff, great movies and cheap tickets. Parking is easy as the cinema is rarely overcrowded. Very good range, including a few art-house shows. Highly recommended.
