The Carnegie Whisky Cellars and Tasting Vault is among the Highland's finest, bespoke whisky shops. Now open in the new Carnegie Courthouse in the historic Royal Burgh of Dornoch. The Carnegie Whisky Cellars hold an extensive selection of whiskies from across Scotland, as well as whisky related merchandise and other spirits.
I was in Dornoch on Wednesday with my husband and 19 year old son and we found the young man who served us to be very friendly and very knowledgeable about the whiskies and gins and he was very helpful especially with his in depth knowledge of whisky. A brilliant wee shop with a good range of whiskies and craft gins. Will be visiting again.

VisitScotland 5 star rated Museum attraction. Our vision is to Keep the Dornoch Story Alive. We do this by preserving our local heritage and making it available for everyone to enjoy. The museum is open from 10.30am to 4pm five days a week (closed Tuesdays & Wednesdays unless pre-booked online at least 48 hours beforehand) until April 2021. We have a small admission fee for adults but discount for concessions and accompanied children are free. There is an option to book the Museum for an exclusive tour for your family group (up to 8 members) from 4pm each day. Tours start at £30 per group (see website for booking details).
A really interesting little museum packed with information, displays and artefacts, carefully put together and providing the visitor with all they need to know about the wealth of history in Dornoch. Definitely recommend to any visitor to Dornoch.

Have been going here for quite some time now, but have never written a review. Every time I have been the food has been perfect whatever I have chosen off the menu. The steak sizzlers are first class and well worth trying. The staff are all very friendly and helpful, and the premises and toilets are immaculate. Would highly recommend any visitors to the area to visit this hidden gem as the food is excellent.
