Poterie Ravel

The Ravel factory is settled in Aubagne, is one of the magic places to be discovered in Provence! At the heart of the city, this ceramic Factory, with its more than 6 000m2, is the oldest and most authentic of the region. An immense court, walls covered with vineyards, its classified fireplace…the real factory of the XIXth century to come to visit! The factory outlet is a maze of rooms where products of decoration for the house and for the garden are presented at the same time. Enamels of all colors, very contemporary or authentic forms, very small products as small jars, tians as well as enormous jars or vases are to be discovered. When you arrive at the Factory, you are as in a small village. You meet the potter, the people who set the vases in the ovens or the molders. Everybody smiles, with a happy face. In the shade of an olive tree or in the freshness of the old walls, you will take time to discover a real know-how, to choose quietly your jar or your salad bowl. Free visits are organised every Thursday at 10:30 am. You will discover the secrets of the manufacturing, the production of the clay, the work of the tour and the molding.
