If you are around Lisbon, you can rent a car and straight through the XXV April bridge you can enjoy the extraordinary town of Sesimbra. Old fashion town on the straight on the sea with dozen of fresh fish restaurants, shops and bar. The skyline of the ocean is absolutely stunning. You will follow in love. Hight recommended.

The Cabo Espichel may be a bit out of the way and definitely requires a car, but it is worth the effort: in addition to the beautiful landscape, especially during the sunset, it offers a combination of attractions: an historical lighthouse, a beautiful Sanctuary and Hermitage, containing footprints of sauropod dinosaurs and a water house with the ruin of an aqueduct to was bringing the water to the premises. It is said that part of the site is under restauration to house a hotel.

Really good place to visit if doing a day trip out of Lisbon. The area is really well maintained with a really lovely church inside the walls which is still in use today. The views from the walls are great and the day I visited it was extremely clear.
