This park is beautiful. It's an easy 25 km drive to the end of the road. From there it's a 1 km walk to the summit. There are several wonderful viewpoints and trails along the way. Do them all and you will have walked 10 km. The best trails are at the top where in August, Mother Nature creates the most spectacular garden of wildflowers. There are several trails here, take your time to enjoy this panorama of views and color. If you are are hiker you will want to take a day to hike the trail to Eva and Miller lakes. This 6 km trail leaves from the summit area and for the first part it's an easy walk through meadows. After the halfway mark the trail starts climbing, you cross several rock slides and then a short scramble to the top brings you to picturesque Eva lake. Be sure to walk at least halfway around the lake for some great views onto the other side of the mountain. On your return trip take the short side trail to Miller lake. This lake is situated in a valley with steep mountains above, quite different from Eva lake but just as beautiful. You will arrive back at your car tired but exhilarated from your day in this spectacular setting. Mother Nature has for a time erased COVID from your mind

It is very easy to drive right by some road side stops. This is one to stop and smell the cedar. A very well constructed boardwalk brings you into an oasis minutes from the highway. It is an easy walk through a forest featuring magical cedars and plenty of other vegetation. Highly recommend making the stop as both kids and adults will enjoy.

Revelstoke Mountain Resort (RMR) is a true, year-round adventure destination. In summer, RMR is home to the Pipe Mountain Coaster; North America's first Brandauer mountain coaster. This exhilarating ride features 1.4 kilometres of twists and turns all the while travelling at speeds of up to 42/kmph. The Resort also features a four-storey Aerial Adventure Park, a 9-hole Disc Golf course, sightseeing, and an extensive network of hiking and mountain biking trails. In the winter months, Revelstoke Mountain Resort receives 30-40 feet of annual snowfall, covering 1,263 hectares (3,121 acres) of alpine bowls, steeps, glades, and groomers with a descent of 1,713 vertical meters (5,620 feet) - the most in North America. The Resort has two high-speed quad chairs, one fixed-grip quad chair, an eight-passenger gondola and a dedicated beginner slope with Magic Carpet conveyor lift.
The mountain coaster was the highlight of our 4 day getaway. You have to get your ticket to ride early in the am to get a spot, it was a 4.5 hour wait when we got ours. In the meantime we had a great time with the ropes course and Gondola rides. Husband and older son enjoyed the axe throwing.

Get a park pass and journey this 20km drive. Tight bends and amazing view points on the way up. A chance to walk to Mt Revelstoke Summit and enjoy amazing views! There are hikes peppered all the way up, I really enjoyed the Broken Bridge and Inspirational Gardens. Don’t forget you need a Park Pass.

We passed through the Glacier National Park on our coach tour of the Canadian Rockies in August 2019. We were driving along the Trans Canada Highway to Banff National Park and stopped for a while at the Rogers Pass National Historic Site which is at the centre of Glacier National Park. We could see the high mountain peaks with dense pine forests and active glaciers. There is a lot of wildlife in the forests like bears, wolves, deer, elk, caribou and many more. We saw some stuffed exhibits of these animals in the Rogers Pass Discovery Centre. The park has many trails, campgrounds, and some backcountry huts and cabins. The park is known for its heavy snowfall and avalanches, and maintaining the Trans Canada Highway which passes through the park is a constant challenge. The Canadian Armed Forces help in the task to keep the roads clear with the help of Howitzer cannons which we saw stationed near the Rogers Pass Discover Centre.
