It is a temple of learning for study of Tibetian Buddhism for Leh people & monks, perched on a hilltop with awesome views overlooking Dirang valley. Thupsung Dhagye Ling , name was given by Dalai Lama to this monastery. Photography is allowed even inside main temple. Best time to view beauty of this place is during sunrise , when the bright & vibrant colours of monastery gives you a very positive vibrations. A guest house is attached to monastery with small shop & canteen. The rooms are spacious & comfortable with required amenities. We stayed here for a day to enjoy beauty of this place. Awesome place for stay with great ambiance.

I was blessed to have had the opportunity to celebrate my most auspicious day of birth amongst the chanting of lamas in their prayer hall under the Buddha’s glorious blessed feet. The Monastery celebrates it’s annual Mask Dance festival, and the colour of demons with dramatic musical background score – is once in a lifetime experience, not to be missed.

Situated on highest point of Bomdila is War Memorial built in memory of Supreme Sacrificed made by 1 Sikh Li troops of Indian Army during 1962 War. A must visit place for all Indian as our soldiers fought with Chinese with bare hand and outdated guns. Bunkers made during that time is still maintained by Indian Army. You get magnificent view of snow covered hills from there.
