Crikvenica (Croatian pronunciation: [ˈtsrikvɛnitsa]; Latin: Ad Turres, Italian: Cirquenizza, Hungarian: Cirkvenica, Cirkvenicza, Czirkvenicza, Czirkwenicza, German: Cirknenz) is the largest settlement on the coast of the Vinodol coastal area, Croatia, and developed on the site of Roman era settlement and military base called Ad Turres. Population 6,860, total municipality population 11,122 with 90% Croats (2011). The city is situated on the Adriatic near Rijeka in the Primorje-Gorski Kotar county. In the last twenty years, due to urban expansion of Crikvenica itself and expansion of the nearby town of Selce, the two were merged into a mini-conglomerate.

The building of this church began in 1934. It was consecrated in 1939, but the impressive 35 m-high belfry was only finished in the first decade of the 21st century.The Russian Orthodox Church, dedicated to St. Nicholas, was built in 1924 on the initiative of Russians who had fled to Crikvenica after the October Revolution. It has been closed many years ago.

This gallery hosts artwork by artists from the local area but also from abroad. Stjepan Radic (1871-1928) was the founder of the Croatian Peasant Party and publicist. A monument to the prominent politician is located in the park named after him in the Crikvenica centre. This bronze bust was created by the sculptor Zvonko Car. In this park there are also monuments to national heroes and initiators of the anti-fascist struggle in Vinodol.

Kalvarija (Calvary), a religious monument and a vantage point, is a hill on the top of Jurisiceva Street. It was named after the hill where Jesus Christ was crucified. A statue of Christ was erected here in 1895.
