Sonnenberg Gardens is a historic estate showcasing nine formal gardens, an antique greenhouse complex, and a Victorian mansion. Sonnenberg also features a gift shop, the Finger Lakes Wine Center, and wedding/reception rental facilities.
My self and my 17 year old daughter visited on a Friday morning in August. Simply beautiful!! We both enjoyed walking around the different landscaped areas. The grounds are huge!! Lots of walking, enjoying the hardscape, plants, flowers, even suprise wild life throughout! The buildings are also beautiful, showing there aged character. The mansion is breathtaking. Everything is so well kept, with very little signs of insect's in the gardens. We were on a time restraint, I still feel we were able to see, and walk through completely in 2 1/2 hours. However I wish we had more time.

I live in Canandaigua and never get tired of this view. Whether you’re on the water or driving the circle (hopefully with an ice cream cone from Scoops) you need to stop and take a look. They change with the seasons and the weather, but they are always a welcoming, familiar site. A must see if you’re on the Lake.

The Canandaigua Lake Wine Trail (CLWT) is comprised of a diverse group of wineries (large and small), restaurants, wine tasting centers and unique shops, providing visitors with a full Finger Lakes experience. The wine trail has been around since the mid 1990’s and is one of the smaller and most scenic of the Finger Lakes, making the CLWT "just right" for a 1-day trip!

CMAC has brought me memories that I will have for a lifetime. I have seen Luke Bryan twice and Jason Aldean once. It’s a great venue, they have many options for food and drinks (little overpriced) that are delicious. They also have lawn chairs you can rent if you don’t feel like sitting on the grass or standing. The country concerts do get a little rowdy in the lawn, but it’s a concert so you knew that was going to happen already. If you plan on bringing children I would either get seats under the shell or get there early and take the lawn seats closest to the shell. The farther up the lawn you go the crazier it gets. They have plenty of bathrooms, and they even put some at the top of the lawn for easy access. Getting into the venue is a simple process, the lines are not that long and for each of my CMAC experiences it took about 10 minutes to get through check in and security. So lucky to be able to have such a great concert venue right in my backyard.
