Yangon (formerly known as Rangoon) is no longer the capital of Myanmar, but it has experienced a huge increase in tourism recently. Book early, as hotel rooms are sometimes hard to find! While you’re in town, the Shwedagon Pagoda, an immense, ancient Buddhist shrine, is a must-see—TripAdvisor travelers recommend visiting at sunrise or sunset.

In the morning after breakfast, meet your local guide and enjoy the sightseeing tour to the town of Dala and transfer to the Nanthida jetty for the ferry boat. The town is famous for it’s the life of trishaw people, the Orphanage houses and local markets. After sightseeing, get back to Yangon by ferry boat in experiencing the ship-yard on the river of Yangon and drive to the station named Yangon Circular Train, which was rebuilt in 1954 by Myanmar architect with the traditional Myanmar architectural style. The wandering journey by a circular train gives you a great chance to see a slice of local people life, and it will take around 3 hours for the complete journey and ends at the first station you take. Return to your hotel.

The Team at Tour East were excellent, Not only did everything go as planned the guides provided in each area were extremely knowledgeable and made suggestions re our itinerary to compliment what was already planned. Balloons over Bagan was probably a highlight however the while trip over something for all the senses and the people we met were wonderful.

I traveled through SE Asia for 3 1/2 months, and my full day photo tour with Three-Treasures, and its fantastic guide, Thandar Oo, was my favorite activity of my trip! We toured a couple of temples, but at my request focused on local people. Thandar took me to some local villages that Three-Treasures supported, and I was able to photography and meet locals. This was just a fantastic experience, and I highly recommend it to anyone visiting Bagan!!

For our trip to Myanmar they provided a perfect service. The visit to Chin state was simply awesome: the driver/guide who accompanied us was very friendly and careful with local people. We visited private houses where we could talk to the tattoo women and have a real feeling of their traditions. Everything in full respect of their privacy. It was the best part of our trip!!! Nevertheless, their knowledge of Italian language, made everything easier. We made all the arrangement via mail: their response was very quick and efficient; beside that, Flora also speaks fluent Italian and this made everything easier. If you are planning to visit this beautiful Country and want to have a real "local experience" just get in contact with them!!
The more remote areas of Mon State and Kayin State are undiscovered areas of Myanmar offering spectacular nature and intriguing tribal culture dating back for many, many centuries in the history of South East Asia. The Mon are believed to be one of the first civilisations in this part of the world. Although their kingdom was lost to the Bagan king in the 11th century, their rich culture can be still be seen in daily life with their specific sarongs, traditional food, language and music instruments. The Kayin (also known as Karen) are one of the indigenous tribes of the jungle known for their traditional boxing skill and their state offer beautiful natural scenes with traditional villages and waterways surrounded by spectacular lime stone mountains. A tribe with its separate language and traditions, whose origins are still very much unknown to scientists until this day.
