The 8 Best Performances in Dallas, Texas (TX)

November 28, 2021 Margarita Chappel

You may have all heard that everything is bigger in Texas. Well, Dallas does its best to fulfill that promise. You'll find several museums with vast art collections and fascinating specialty museums like The Sixth Floor Museum/Texas School Book Depository, which, though small in size, offers an immense amount of information about the assassination of John F. Kennedy. And of course, visit a local steakhouse for a terrific (and enormous) meal.

We attended a smooth-jazz concert that we enjoyed, immensely. The waitstaff was efficient and courteous, and the barbecue was delicious (according to the meat eaters in our company). Again the music was outstanding and we were informed that there are different types of shows nightly. We will definitely visit again on our next trip to Dallas.

The UW Madison, Hamel Hall for the musical arts. It’s a beautiful venue and you can see a wide variety of styles of music. Some events are free to the public, others a small charge. But every seat is a good one and both theaters are fantastic, beautiful comfortable and wonderful acoustics. Stop in if your available for a grand treat.

We went and saw Hootie and the Blowfish. This is a great venue(as long as you don't go in the heat of summer). We got reserved seats, it is tiered so great viewing along with several large screens. It can be a long walk from parking but that is what you get at the state fair location.
