Blackpool Zoo is a family friendly attraction, providing fun and education for all ages. Situated only 2 miles inland the Promenade, the park is easily accessible from the M55 motorway. Over 1000 animals, birds and reptiles reside in a scenic 32 acre park amidst mature trees, lakes and spacious lawns where the kids can burn off their excess energy. All your favourites are here including big cats, elephants, giraffes, sealions, gorillas, orangutans, camels, zebras and many, many more. Opened in 2014, the new Orangutan Outlook allows visitors to get up close and personal with these charismatic apes. Open daily (except Christmas Day) from 10 am, the park's closing times vary seasonally.
I went with my fiancee and two young girls aged (3 & 1) and we had a great time. Planning ahead we booked tickets online. A few weeks before going and this allowed us to buy meal tickets in advance as well and I would advise doing this as you can save quite a bit overall doing it this way. We all had a great time and enjoyed the sea lion show as well as the big cats and saw most of the animals across the zoo. The only bit being worked on was near the anteaters. We will definitely go again to catch all the shows and feeding.

Staining Lodge Golf Course is a par 72, 18-hole pay and play course set in 160 acres of picturesque Fylde countryside in the village of Staining. The course has a beautiful clubhouse serveing food and drink with views over the course and is situated five minutes from the M55 within easy reach of Blackpool, Lytham St Annes, Kirkham, Preston, Thornton-cleveleys and Fleetwood. The course was designed and is maintained to appeal to a wide range of abilities. Greens are sand-based and irrigated to facilitate play for as much of the year as possible. The course also includes a 300 yard practice ground for those that want to practice their swing and a putting green.
After visiting the Lodge today and having a beautiful lunch, I feel I needed to write a review. I am very lucky to live nearby Staining Lodge and regularly visit the restaurant with my little dog Freddie. I go for breakfast or Lunch almost weekly! The full english breakfast is amazing although there are plenty of other delicious options to choose from. The lunch specials change daily and the soup is always homemade and tasty. The main seasonal lunch menu also has something for everyone. Its very hard to find a decent restaurant which welcome dogs in the Fylde area which is why I go there so often. Its always a pleasure to spend a morning or afternoon at the Lodge. Great setting ,Friendly Staff, Fresh Food, and just a lovely place to go. I've even booked for Mothers Day!!!!!
