The Chūbu region (中部地方, Chūbu-chihō), Central region, or Central Japan (中部日本) is a region in the middle of Honshū, Japan's main island. Chūbu has a population of 21,715,822 as of 2010.. It encompasses nine prefectures (ken): Aichi, Fukui, Gifu, Ishikawa, Nagano, Niigata, Shizuoka, Toyama, and Yamanashi.

Bijodaira is the starting point for the highland bus that connects Murodo. There is virgin forest where you can see large trees of cedar and beech, and you can enjoy a walk. There is a cedar that is big enough to fit in a tree, making it a photo spot. It's a popular place for bird watching, but you need to be careful about bear.
It takes about 5 minutes by car from the Hida Kiyomi Interchange to reach Hikoya in Kiyomi-cho (formerly Kiyomi Village, Ono County), Takayama City, Gifu Prefecture. It is located in a beautiful woodland area on the Unohana Road, which leads to Hida Furukawa River. This is a villa with a farm and laube. A camp site where natural and quiet time ebbs and flows. A wildflower garden with about 100 species of wildflowers and trees that grow naturally in the wild.
