Filoli's Garden, House, and Estate Trail are open! We offer unique experiences for the whole family every season. From the historic home and manicured gardens to a vast estate and natural trails, come explore the beauty and tranquility of another time. Guests can visit the cafe, have a glass of wine or enjoy afternoon tea. Filoli also hosts seasonal activities, including tours of the home and grounds, art shows, music, education programs and special events. Conveniently located between San Francisco and San Jose, this 654-acre estate is open to the public to visit as a guest, or become a member and drop by any time.
I try to go to Filoli Gardens each spring when the flowers are cheering spring onward. The house and garden tour is the best way for beginners to get acquainted with the wonderful story of this beautiful park. But Christmas tours are also a joy with the house dressed up for the holidays. Lunch or tea is another joy. And do stop at the gift shop. ENJOY!

This running trail is located within the park, covers 8.2 miles at an elevation of 1,500 feet.
Friend and I walked the Crystal Springs/Dean trail in early July mid-week during pandemic. Easy parking, restrooms, smooth extremely well marked trails, gorgeous trees of many types and peaceful isolation. We met many parties (and a horse) and all were very respectful regarding face masks.

We went to Wunderlich Park, which is a hillside area of a redwood forest. It has open meadows, oaks and madrones. There is good hiking and riding. We especially liked seeing the horse stable area. It used to be the Folger (of Coffee fame) family ranch. The stables are very nice. There is a museum with wagons in it. There is a equestrian arena. We had a very good time at Wunderlich County Park in Woodside.
