I personally find this street to be the most important for Koprivshtitsa and maybe the most beautiful one in Bulgaria. The house of Hadji Nencho Palaveev is fully rebuilt and is now a gallery with different exhibitions. The noble trader was born in 1859 in Koprivshtitsa and had spoken at least four languages, he has spent most of his life working as a trader in Egypt. There he has made a fortune, which by that time made him the richest Bulgarian. Later in his life, he returned to Koprivshtitsa where he made numerous constructions, including the towns pipe system, the monuments of Georgi Benkovski, Nayden Gerov, Lyuben Karavelov and more, the bell tower of St. Nikola church, he paid for the afforestation around town, he gave scholarships for young students, and many more. The organisation of the "April Uprising of 1876" was secretly financed by him and he paid for most of the guns, horses and uniforms. In his will he left a huge amount of gold for Koprivshtitsa, some sources say that it was around 450 kilograms. He was the owner of Napoleon Bonaparte’s ring offered as a gift to his first wife Josephine, which today is shown in the Museum situated in the building of the first class school in town.

Koprivshtitsa is part of Bulgarian history, and Dimcho Debelyanov is one of the famous Bulgarian poets, so it's worth to visit.

The most remote of the municipal museum houses is the one known as 'Georgi Benkowski house'. Anybody who has some knowledge about Bulgaria will immediately feel that this is not a Bulgarian name. And in fact it is the pseudonym of a man, born in this house, as 'Gavril Hlatev'. His adventurous life, involving several countries and identities, turns out to be one of the most fascinating of all Bulgarians, and he ended up as a fervent fighter for Bulgaria's independence, losing his life - after a betrayal - at age 33. He is honoured in his home place Koprivishtitsa not only by his birth house, but also by a big stone sculpture up the hill showing him riding a horse.
