Ben A’an is a great hike, it probably took us 1hr 30 up with a few stops and similar back down. It has quite a steep incline so bear that in mind, however the views at the summit are spectacular! Definitely worth a visit. Note** if parking make sure to get there early as on weekends it gets very busy after 9:30am and nowhere to park on the roads. Also bring midgy repellent it was full of them!

True to it's name! Love stopping here the scenery is always beautiful no matter the weather, love to capture the beauty with photography. The burger van is great for a light bite and a hot drink. Could do with some bins, would stop people leaving rubbish as the burger van only had a tiny bucket for rubbish

I hated this walk the whole time I was doing it. I’m 29 and I’d say I’m pretty fit but this walk was so hard on the legs. When the say incline they mean incline! It was a windy day and the paths were boggy, icy and non existent in places which did make it slightly difficult but it didn’t stop us. We managed to get to the top and although it was a hard walk it was worth it for them views! I would suggest doing it on a cleared day as then you can stop for breaks and also get a clearer view but that only makes me more determined to do this walk again. Easy to follow route from the main car park. Wear good boots and pack warmer clothes as you can imagine the weather changes at the top.

This was our first munro .... it might be one of the smallest but it packs a mighty punch. To start it was easy enough, we came of the track to early and ended up in the bog, avoid if you can and simply carry on a little more where you will see some nice new bolder steps leading you up to start your climb. The climb was constant step up... there isnt much easy parts that give you a wee break of a flat walk. I read that there were three false summits.... that's not true, there must have been about seven! Ha!.. When we got near to the summit there was a bit of a steep scramble, Im sure there would have been an easier way. We had good weather but once to the sumit the wind was nearly taking us off the edge so we didnt stay at the top for long. Came down the side to find a wee shelter where we grabbed somthing to eat. The descent was the hardest part.... the constant manouvering youself and lower yourself started to be real hard on the thighs, but the bottom my legs were abolste jelly!!! Then you have the 3k walk back to the car park...... I now think many other munro's will be much easier compared to this one (I think). I recommend but maybe do after you've done a few others.
