Colombian Aeroespace Museum. Located near to Bogotá. Next to Jaime Duque Park. It had 26 historical airplanes of the Colombian Air Force. Its new installations were opened on 1st december 2017.
For aviation/military enthusiasts or not, this is such an interesting place, which is child friendly and beautifully kept. The staff are very friendly and we found a very knowledgable Air Force officer who spoke perfect English, my Spanish is weak! Allow about 2 hours and there is a cafe on site with a nice patio. Got there by Uber from Bogotá, but there is bus service to the adjacent theme park ‘Parque Jaime Duque’

The Military Museum traces more than 2 centuries of the History of Colombia's Military Forces, Army, Navy and Air Force.
Definitely worth a visit, learned about the Korean War and Colombia’s past. When I arrived I was greeted by Mondragon, he was very welcoming, knowledgeable and helpful. He also spoke great English which was awesome because I’m not smart enough to speak two languages ????. Highly recommend this museum to anyone interested in Colombia’s history.

We were here on a Sunday afternoon and wanted, in addition to the churches, see something different. We checked the opening hours in the web and saw that it will be open! We walked to the museum and found closed doors. A policeman we have asked then told us to knock on the door. The security opened and we explained the situation. She let us in and we had the museum for us alone. The colourful masks were fantastic, the fotos and explanations were good, but could be more! A really good alternative in this city!

Colombian Air Force Museum. It is the home of Captain Antonio Ricaurte, hero of Colombia and symbol of Colombian Air Force
This is a lovely, little, historical house. The house is old and very well restored. It has three different rooms that tell the history of Mr. Antonio Ricaurte and how his immolation prevent it the Spaniards from reconquering Colombia. It is managed by the Colombian airforce. The space is very clean, it is in front of a very nice square, in a peaceful area of town. It opens for a few hours in am and pm. It does not open every day. It is free. It is walking distance from many other historical sites.

Excellent! Very informative and interesting. Before visiting the naval museum there was a dance troupe performing native dances, very entertaining. Highly recommend.
