Sailing, diving, fishing and relaxing are the main activities for visitors to the 155 islands of this Indian Ocean archipelago. Mahé, Praslin and La Digue are the most popular islands. Mahé boasts 65 silver beaches, plus an array of restaurants, cafés, bars and casinos in the tiny capital, Victoria. The Seychelles are home to UNESCO-designated sites, coral atoll Aldabra and Vallée de Mai, called the Garden of Eden. Creole is the main language, but English and French are widely spoken.

This island is strictly protected to allow Giant tortoises to prosper.
We absolutely loved our trip to see the giant tortoises. They’re such amazing creatures. We would recommend taking fruit if you want to feed them - you can’t get food there and they’re trying to protect the plants so don’t take branches off the plants. We didn’t want to do an organised tour so got dropped off by Sagittarius boats (they have a Facebook) - it was reasonable and only took about 15 minutes. It was a simple little boat but much cheaper than the tours and they let us choose how long we wanted to spend (we did 2.5 hours) and it was exactly what we needed. We then went on the walk across the island to the Scott’s house. This was hot and uneven ground so we’d recommend trainers, hats and water. The beach at the end was really beautiful not much shade. There were Toilets on both sides but not nicest facilities.

This small island located just north of the private island of Felicite is a paradise for snorkeling. You can see so many of the beautiful species living in the waters surrounding the Seychelles! For those who are a little bit adventurous you might also be so "lucky" to see a white tip shark if you are in a boat and are able to go further east (south of Grande Soeur).

Area : 84ha Situated 6km northeast of neighbouring La Digue and in close proximity to Félicité and to Ile Cocos,Grande Soeur is popular for its spectacular panoramas and the excellent opportunities it offers for trekking, snorkelling and diving in waters where the marine life is prolific. Two white fine sand beaches surrounded by pink granite rocks and coconut-trees.
A beautiful island, which is very clean, with a big turtle in the middle and the best and the most beautiful beach we have ever been! The view was spectacoulos and there were only us there with my husband. We felt that we had an own island :-)

While sailing on a catamaran, we spent a couple nights anchored right off of Felicity Island. There was very nice snorkeling, and the views were gorgeous. We had a wonderful visit.

An artificial island between the airport and Victoria city, Eden Island offers you lots of things that other parts of Seychelles can't. It's the only place that has a mall, big supermarket were you can find anything, several high quality restaurants, a bit of a night life (especially during weekends), very good accomodations, a pharmacy, traveling agencies, nice marina, and a good starting point to explore the island. Personally, we didn't stay there because we were looking for something more authentic (it was our 1st time in Seychelles), and we just visited it for lunch before heading to the airport. But if I'll go back to Seychelles one day, especially if I'll have children, I'll definitely rent a nice apartment in Eden Island- maybe with a private pool- and explore the Island from there.
