Reviewed By Harold Christop... WWent there to stay on a business trip. Company had a contract there so i had to get a room. The only good thing is that the staff was nice. Let's go to the other stuff. Ghetto area. Evidently it was also contracted for oilfield trash. Lord almighty. Dirty males hanging out, drinking, loud music, etc. (it was around 530 on a thursday). Went into room and it smelled terrible. Musty sewer smell. Did walk through and restroom was not clean and actually had hair on the toilet and the tub. Went to front desk, they gave me another room. Went to the other room....smelled musty, walked in and there was around a half inch of water on the floor (carpet). I was splashing and actually took a video of it. I went ahead and checked out. I went to my seminar and luckily found an offseason hunting camp bungalow to spend the night. Boy Howdy Days Inn was bad, and im a country boy, and it turned my stomach.

You are ever so pleasant, professional, and overall amazing. Top floor corner room was quiet and perfect for getting restful sleep. Rotating hot breakfast buffet and 24/7 coffee, tea, and hot chocolate available. Facility is located along the main street near many restaurants and shops. Plenty of free parking. Love this hotel!

Reviewed By veneezerPaid extra to have a "kitchenette" because we wanted a fridge and microwave, maybe a coffee maker (all other description of rooms seem to not have these items at this time). Nothing worked- half the lights would not turn on, there was no power to any kitchen appliances. Every attempt to go to front office had a "back in a few minutes" sign on door. Gave up and just paid extra for takeout. No dishes in the "kitchenette" to use except 1 spoon to share and a cup. On checkout, mentioned this to the front desk person who told me I should have told them yesterday and they would have moved us. Not sure when I would have done that considering they were always on break. Have yet to hear from manager despite calling myself several times- always being told the manager is not in. Oh, and the bathroom shares a vent with the neighbors, so I was able to hear their conversations as if they were in the room with me. Don't waste your money, there is a nicer looking hotel next door, and it costs about the same.

OK but a Bit Expensive
Reviewed By TheSimpleTravelerWe booked here for one night to break up our drive from Houston to Big Bend Nat'l Park. It was clean and quiet. Nancy, the front desk associate was pleasant but too soft spoken for me as I have hearing issues. The Sofa Bed sagged in the middle but I still managed a good night's sleep. There were no pillow covers for the pillows for the sofa bed, so I used 2 of the pillows from the king bed. Everything else worked fine.

THIS HOTEL HAS BED BUGS

Woke up to discover bed bugs on comforter, mattress, in the pillowcases and on the carpet. Very disturbing! Brought attention to this matter to the house keeping. She didn't look at all surprised. Went to check out. Waited and waited for manager to arrive at an unattended front desk to discuss the bed bug issue and of course talk about not having to pay for staying in a room infested with bed bugs. The manager denied that they were bed bugs, taking the opportunity to blame my beautiful dog, stating he had tics. I'm getting pretty upset by this point. She didn't even want to see the pictures I took with my phone. Clearly there was a bed bug issue. She told me to leave the premises. I had over a 100 bites on my body. BEWARE!!! DO NOT STAY THERE!!!
