New Management 2020. George Inn is a traditional 1730's coaching Inn set in the beautiful village of Tideswell, the middle of the Peak District. George inn is a lively pub (so does come with some noise) but this is to be expected for a popular village pub. We have a spacious function room available. We are in the heart of Tideswell next to the "Cathedral of the Peak". There are stunning walks on your doorstep. Nothing is very far away from The George making it a great base from which to explore all that The Peak and Derbyshire have to offer. We have 2 Superking/Triple rooms and 1 Kingsize & 1 Double room. Rooms all with ensuite shower rooms. Breakfast is included in the room rates. Breakfast booking sheets are given at checkin. The rooms are finished to a reasonable standard with TV/DVD, coffee and tea making facilities and free wifi. We look forward to helping you with your trip.
We were made to feel very welcome by our hosts at The George Inn. The rooms were comfortable and provided good facilities such as tea/coffee making and high quality toiletries. We enjoyed breakfasts and a dinner during our stay, and the standard of food and service was excellent. We would happily return here should we find ourselves again in this beautiful part of the country.

A beautiful newly renovated bungalow, which provides custom made B&B accommodation. Situated on a quiet road on the outskirts of the beautiful village of Tideswell, just a short walk from the village centre. All rooms en-suite and offering a high degree of privacy. We are naturally approachable, welcoming and relaxed.
We went to Tideswell for a friends wedding and part of out great experience there was because Linda and Gary. They run this beautiful place located up hill (10 min walking distance from the center), with an amazing view. The place was really nice, lot of natural light, the room was super clean and tidy and the bed extremely comfortable. The breakfast was unbeatable and freshly cooked, and Linda made us some snacks because the following day we couldn't stay for breakfast. Hope we came back in the near future, and definitely staying with them again!

Welcome to Rockingham Lodge B&B, an Eighteenth Century former inn with plenty of character. Ideally located in the heart of the beautiful Peak District National Park (approx 8 miles from both Bakewell & Buxton) and close to the Monsal Trail, Rockingham Lodge is great for walkers, cyclists or people wishing to explore the local towns and villages. All rooms are en-suite, have Smart TVs, tea/coffee making facilities and free wi-fi access. There is also a comfortable guest lounge. A full english breakfast is included in the price or if you prefer lighter/vegetarian options are also available.
We booked 2 nights at the rockingham lodge, GIll welcomed us on arrival and was a great host, very welcoming. The room was great, comfortable, spacious, ensuite was good too. Gill puts information on local places, pubs and where to eat. Breakfast we ordered night before. overall Tideswell is a lovely place and a good base location for the peak district. Would thoroughly reccommend Rockingham Lodge.

This is a top tier b&b. Great location with a gorgeous garden overlooking the church. To be greeted with tea and delicious home made cake was so welcoming after walking all day. Very quiet, cosy bedrooms. Fab breakfasts with local or home made produce. The best breakfast and cake of our trip doing the Limestone Way. The hosts cater for every need. You really feel like you are being welcomed into their home. Would love to visit again. Thank you

This is an extremely accomplished restaurant with a small number of luxurious rooms. The rooms are modern, very well equipped with comfortable beds and high quality extras. Our room had skylights that give plenty of light and can be opened/blacked out if wanted but no other windows. Dedicated named parking spaces and easy access to the bar and restaurant makes it convenient. Reception staff highly efficient and very friendly with a complimentary drink on arrival. The restaurant and bar are well laid out in what used to be an agricultural merchants property. Most of the staff are young and exceptionally friendly, knowledgeable and efficient. The food and service was brilliant with good choices and the help and organisation provided by Laura in particular was outstanding although all the staff without exception could not have been nicer. A packed restaurant on a Saturday evening with several parties of young women resulted in excessive noise but I suspect that this is unusual. The staff still managed to provide excellent service with a sense of humour. Breakfast is included in the room price and is cooked to order with generous portions and was very tasty. Thoroughly recommend this place as a base to see the Peak District.

Excellent beer and cider selection. The local plum porter was fresh and very tasty. Nice roaring fire. Pub felt fresh, possibly had a recent face lift. Good atmosphere for a Monday evening. Pub well sited, with tables out front (too cold on our visit)
