Reviewed By luforStruttura semplice, accogliente, nuova, vicino al famoso ponte di Castruccio Castracani. Le camere sono pulitissime, dotate di tv e bagni funzionali e dotati di set di cortesia. Colazione principalmente dolce (ma la gestione, composta da persone di grande disponibilità e votate alla cura del cliente, può offrire personalizzazioni) e abbondante con bevande calde espresse. Completa il tutto un bel percorso benessere all’aperto formato da sauna, doccia fredda, idromassaggio. Vale sicuramente tornare…e non solo per il rapporto qualità prezzo!

Reviewed By dennis dSimple rooms, quiet stay, normal breakfast, nothing very special yet. But at lunch and dinner time, Then everything changes! Sublime foods. Some simple some rustic but all full flavoured and good. Steaks from the grill, pasta with wild boar ragu, panacotta, tiramisu, and more. All Accompanied with good wines, for an very normal price. At the end of one evening the owner opened his cupboard with grappa (he collects) he let us tastes all varieties. It is a little far from all the tourist places, but stay, rest eat and drink here for a couple of days, it will be wonderful

Reviewed By UH MMy family and I stayed at this B&B and had a great time. The accommodation was clean, comfortable beds and surrounded by great mountain scenery and views. Francesca who is the landlady went out of her way to make our stay as comfortable as best as she could. Although there were some days I craved an English breakfast rather than continental breakfast as the weather was -1;℃ some mornings, however, I understood as we were in Italy after all. Ciao.

The four comfortable apartments are just a 10-minute drive from San Marcello Pistoiese, down a secluded strada bianche (country lane) in a renovated stone farmhouse surrounded by fruit groves and woodland - with a panoramic shared pool a short stroll away.
Simply wonderful with a real 'get away from it all' feel
Reviewed By Lynn MIl Gufo is in an amazing setting, surrounded by forest and hills with beautiful views from all aspects. The rustic feel to the accommodation works perfectly with the environment, nature is right on the doorstep. The beautiful swimming pool is very cleverly placed, away from the farmhouse just a short stroll away, with the sun shining until late evening, it was a pleasure to come back to after days out. San Marcello is a very short drive away, with a handful of good restaurants. We particularly enjoyed shopping for local produce here, tucked away behind the main square are some fabulous shops with very friendly owners providing fresh pasta, cheeses, meats, olives, bread, etc., Il Vinaio was a great find, a great selection of wines were on offer, just take your empty bottles to be filled! If you like walking/hiking this is a great location, Sandro is full of knowledge and will provide you with some good walking routes and maps, there is a very good network of walks close by, offering easy to more challenging routes. Il Gufo is in a great location for sightseeing, the tiny hilltop villages in the surrounding area are probably not in the guide books but that's the charm, unspoilt by tourism, they are definitely worth exploring. If you want to venture further Lucca, Pisa, Florence, S.Gimignano, Volterra, Barga, the Gafagnana region are all easily done. We had a fabulous stay at Il Gufo, Sandro is the most perfect host, so helpful, nothing is too much trouble, we will definitely visit again in the future. (With regards to the track, please don't let it put you off booking, it is well tended by Sandro, a lot of it is Tarmac, during our stay there was a tiny fiat 500 which tackled it with no problem, we were in a Seat Leon and the other vehicles were just normal family cars, no issues! Without this drive you wouldn't be in such a stunning location)

Reviewed By paperella94Siamo stati accolti da persone estremamente cordiali e disponibili. Il B&B si presenta come una villa accuratamente ristrutturata mantenendo una certa eleganza. All'interno un profumo di legno ti avvolge in un'atmosfera di altri tempi. L'arredamento e l'oggettistica curata in ogni dettaglio. Mi dispiace solo che non sia stato possibile fare colazione presso la struttura, con un giardino così bello è un peccato non sfruttarlo. Consigliatissimo. Ci torneremo sicuramente
