A place where time has stopped
Reviewed By Tedd CAfter searching for hours for a place to spend a couple of days this was the perfect place to start the Maramures experience. The people are friendly and the landscapes are wild and archaic, just perfect for a relaxing holiday. And the food is excelent :)

Reviewed By Andrei NOne of the most welcoming places I’ve been. The host is very welcoming and the food is excellent ( all home cooked organic ). From here you can visit the Salt baths, The happy cemetery, and many more places . We did day trips and than come back every night to a very nice home cooked meal.

A week in wonderful Maramures, Romania
Reviewed By Florentin_MariaIt is the dream of every tourist to get somewhere far from home and to feel like in the middle of people he has known for a lifetime. That's the feeling you live here. The place itself is comfortable and welcoming, as you like it to be, the food (the advantage, not to be neglected, that you can have 3 meals a day) is specific to the area, tasty and full, but the people are really wonderful and you they make you live the feeling of "like at home". In addition, the salty water jug (“ciubar”), available 24/7, is also an opportunity to take a little bit care of your health (the results will be seen over the winter), and, for connoisseurs and those interested, the plum brandy (“horinca”) and blueberry brandy present on each table are a typical ingredient for the area's reputation. Whether you travel around the area, in all 4 cardinal points, to see its wonders (you can organize one day trip in each direction), or you "lie" at the pension and enjoy its peace and facilities, you charge your batteries to the maximum. We were there for 7 nights and we felt wonderful. Enjoy the beauty of Romanian Maramures and you'll not regret for a second.
