Always the same whenever we come here, service is just short of terrible, apart from one odd waiter who smiled, everyone looks grumpy. We always struggle to order then have to chase several times for either our cake, drinks or both, nothing EVER comes together!! Please please improve your service, you have everything going for you to be amazing!

Great roomes, a very friendly, accommodating owner and top-notch breakfast with delicious regional products – couldn't have asked for more. Highly recommendable as a stopover on the Eifelsteig or as a homebase for excursions into the region's fantastic nature.

Lovely comfortable hotel in great location. I stayed for four nights with three friends on a motorcycle tour. We received a warm welcome from the owners who speak good English. My room was large, clean and comfortable. Dinner is served at 7:00pm and there is usually a choice of around four tasty home cooked dishes, with starters, desert and often a side salad included. Needless to say we did not go hungry. For a midweek stay the hotel was excellent value. The roads in the area are a great mix of open, sweeping bends and some forest covered hills with tight hairpin bends. Add to this great scenery in every direction and it is a hidden Gem for motorcycling. Better riding than the Black Forest IMHO. Also, the Nurbergring is only 30 minutes away and well worth a visit. Finally after a day exploring the region the hotel has a great bar that you can relax in.

Small bed and breakfast in traditional Eifel style. Very close to the Manderscheider Burgen and the walking trail Lieserpfad and Eifelsteig. The area is beautifull and absolut a dream for the walker, hiker and biker.

Difficult to know what happened but a lumpy sofa bed was provided for one guest who could then only access a bathroom by walking through another guest's bedroom. Not ideal at all.Rooms very cold on arrival.Had to ask for more bedding as a consequence but this was provided. No one could have a hot wash the following moring as there was no hot water. The breakfast was amazingly good with huge quantities of scrambled egg, boiled egg and so on.Can't be sure quite why the stay turned out the way it did.Very clean with plenty of towels around.

We stayed here for 5 nights, first being a sunday..had a friendly greeting on arival but after that it was down hill.firstly we was told how tired she was as they had been very busy so the bar was not open.so after a long drive no refreshment available..evening meal was three course, with choice..evening meal time and was told what we got,so no choice..soup was a bowl of greasy water, main was dry pork with chips and cauliflower and god knows what desert was..there where 5 guests in total..breakfast was just ok..if you was down in time as there were many walkers that stayed there so took advantage to shuffel bread and cheese into their bags for their lunch.no real care taken to see if things needed topping up,so had to go asking for coffee ,bread, milk, felt like we was begging...second evening meal, again no choice.potato soup, and dried up pork goulash that was as salty as hell with packet microwave rice.didnt eat it..asked why? Said very salty, was told oh the pork was salty..a bit later owner came and basically told us for the next 2 nights we had to go to eat at another restaurant as we was the only guests and their kitchen was closed..we booked half pension..as the food was so bad we agreed...It turned out to be a very good restaurant and was happy to enjoy real food..we ate there also for our last night as we was not going to suffer bad food again..hotel itself stands in a nice place with nice views..needs much work as very tired in places, bedroom was large but very shabby..back of wardrobe hanging off, half the ceiling painted, carpet worn out.bed side light broken sockets not working.bed sheet with holes in ,stitched up...through the day untill 3 there was nothing available in the hotel, all closed..very happy we had a small water boiler with us to make a coffee..we are not people that normally complain but this was an insult..its a pity that everything was paid upfront as we would have gone else where...
