Incredible Experience for our First Trip to Corfu!
Reviewed By adamg150Wow! The staff at this resort are some of the best we have experienced throughout our travels. The grounds and the beach are amazing but the staff really sets the place apart. Eirini at guest services was incredible and really made our trip. We were going to hire a driver to explore the island and she suggested we rent a car. I hate dealing with the pick up and drop-off hassle and when I mentioned this she said she could have a car dropped off and picked up at a very reasonable price. We went for it and we were on the road in 30 mins! She mapped out all the highlights for us and we were able see all the best beaches and cool beach clubs. Highly recommend La Grotta! Thanks Eirini! The food, drinks and service were all top-notch, the staff was very thoughtful and helpful throughout our stay. Thanks everyone on the team!

Telesilla is a fine 3-star family-run hotel ideally situated almost at the center of Corfu. The city of Corfu, its famous old town and both the island's airport and main port are only a 10-minute drive from the hotel and the prestigious Gouvia Marina is at walking distance. It's cosy and comfortable and has a reputation for its friendly and joyful atmosphere. All rooms include a new flat-screen satellite TV, new air-conditioning unit, free Wi-Fi, safe deposit box, a small refrigerator and a hairdryer. Iron and ironing board, baby cot and extra towels are offered on request. Our Business Centre (two laptops and printing services, available 24/7) and 24-hour wake-up call service as well as taxi service arrangements and plenty of luggage storage room are also available to all our guests. We offer a hearty buffet breakfast and our swimming pool and roof garden (equipped with sun loungers, umbrellas and showers) as well as the snack bar are available from 09:00 am to 18:00. At 18:00 pm, the pool restaurant and the cocktail bar start serving delicious homemade dishes and elaborate cocktails. In addition, we host live performances, including traditional music or lounge and jazzy styles, at least 3 times a week. Moreover, Telesilla is a perfect base for excursions and tours. The public bus stop, with frequent services to the city of Corfu, is a two minute walk from the hotel and, in case you want to rent a car or take a boat trip, our staff can give you all the information and handle all the arrangements. We can also suggest great places to visit. Telesilla is accessible to persons of reduced mobility to a satisfactory degree and has successfully served such persons in the past.

Reviewed By windbagWe previously reviewed this lovely hotel, when we paid our first visit in 2017. Our promise to return came true when we came back in 2018, and 2019; and we were happy that our experiences were very similar. We booked again for 2020, but, like so many millions of travellers, Covid intervened to delay our next visit. In May, we returned once again, to find that the family were still firmly in control, and providing excellent service. As before, it was wonderful to have lovely food at the hotel, then a few steps to our room, cutting out the needless expense of taxi rides, or a walk from the main body of restaurants. Yiannis, Michael and Thomas were on hand every night to enhance the experience, and much work has been done during Covid to update the restaurant itself. Differences for us this year? As well as spending more time, in superb weather, on Kontokali beach, watching the liners arriving each morning, my wife relaxed on the sunny hotel roof terrace, whilst I enjoyed a few long walks into the hills nearby. I particularly liked a leisurely hour long climb to Kapodistrias museum, situated on the top of a hill, with stunning views, and a spotlessly clean toilet, (a must after a long walk in the sun), and ample parking if you take the easy option. Our visit this year did not include a visit to the nearby town, but,as intimated, the arrival of a couple of cruise ships makes Corfu town a less pleasurable experience for all other travellers. All being well, we will return to Hotel Telesilla as soon as we can.

Welcome to corfu.(6 Km) outside of the center, in the suburb of Corfu Municipality kontokali (Gerekos island) our apartments are located in a green enviroment beside the sea in the idyllic marina boat bay, and away from main road and the buzz. Our installations consists of a private parking, a swimming pool with children and spaces formed for our little friends,gardens around the building with different types of plants, flowers and trees. The apartments are of 2 room (bedroom,bedroom/livingroom) and some of them bedroom,bedroom/livingroom/kitchen. They are : airy and sunny, they all have a balcony, air-conditioning full equiped kitchen, TV, mini safe deposit, hot water,baby beds if needed. At 50 meters is one of the most famous fish restaurant on the island. At distance of 150 meters is the first organized beach. At 1 km away lies the center of Kontokali where there are, the General Hospital of Corfu, restaurants, super market, Bus stop, bar, scooter, bicycleand car rental. Reviewed By AnnagugsStruggling to believe some of these good reviews. My boyfriend and I had the worst experience at Giannis. He was extremely rude, hot tempered and shouted at me twice! I needed a strong WiFi connection as I was working there for a week and he assured me this would be the case, but when we arrived the WiFi was broken and then when it was finally fixed the speed was incredibly slow. False advertising on WiFi, but it didn’t stop there. The air conditioning unit was broken, the bed hard as a nail, the property extremely outdated, very noisy property and mosquitos flying in everywhere! The swimming pool is nice but we were told by another very rude Greek host to get out one minute before 9pm (no please, thank you as a host should treat their guests). We spent three hours trying to sort out a refund with Giannis and Airbnb so I could move property - he wasn’t there to greet us on arrival and he also did not respond to my Airbnb messages so I had to call him several times to get it sorted and even then I ended up paying a hefty premium for a night just to leave. He made me feel very uncomfortable when shouting at me for the WiFi situation and clearly does not like a woman telling him she is not satisfied with his place. This traumatic experience ruined the first day of my holiday and I encourage you NOT to go there.

Reviewed By Lilikincses898This hotel has the most amazing athmosphere. The room is modern and comfortable and has everything you need. The hotel’s restaurant is the same. It has so nice waiters and we had the best dinners here. Totally recommend to stay here at least 1-2 nights and you should try their sword fish souvlaki and the lemon pie. We are planning to come back one day. :)

Our hotel is situated at the northeastern part of Corfu and very close to the center of Corfu and just 250 metres from Gouvia Beach. Situated in front of the Marina through a various of shops cafes and taverns.The hotel rooms have been renovated since 2015 and the public areas of the hotel on 2016. A hotel ideal for travelers who love yachting but and for those who want to have access at beautiful beaches of the island, areas of interest and , off course, the center of Corfu city.
Great little hotel if you’re travelling as a family with children.
Reviewed By WorldJotterWe stayed at Silver Bay for the October half-term, the hotel was always really clean, so if you’re picky about cleanliness it does not disappoint. Room was average the only thing I would suggest is for the top bunk to have some sort of panel as it is certainly a safety risk if one of your children were to fall onto hard tiled floors, I didn’t let my child sleep on it just incase... Air con in the room, although the weather was nice I can imagine the Summer days would need AC so that’s a bonus too. We booked half-board, breakfast was good, a great variety of foods on a daily basis. Hot drinks were from a machine so weren’t great but not a major issue either. Dinner also had a variety of different things and although they cater for vegetarians there wasn’t a whole lot to pick from from that perspective. What really makes the hotel is it’s staff though, I cannot put into words how brilliant they are, so warm and you can tell they work well together as a team. The man on reception during the day time went out of his way to answer any questions we had or to advise us on places of interest including how to get there and which buses to catch etc... The lady on reception in the evening was smiley and welcoming too. We saw one of the waiters on his day off heading into town the same time we were and he was friendly and chatty even out of work. Bless him. I found the Greek people really laid back and really nice wherever you’d go to be honest. Their customer service is brilliant. Amenities: not too far from Old Town Corfu or Palaiokastritsas it sort of falls in the middle’ish of those two areas... The bus stop is just up the road and round the corner so doable with young children who can’t walk for long. There’s a mini market, supermarket, pharmacy and little restaurants in that area too. Ipsos beach is very close by too, and what a lush beach it is as well! It’s certainly value for money especially if you’re going as a family.... I would book again if we were ever in Corfu any time in the future especially with how clean it was I’m borderline OCD and that was perfectly clean even for my liking.

Great hotel for the price you pay
Reviewed By JakeMenzerStayed for four nights. Very welcoming staff throughout on stay. Good value for money. Clean bedrooms which are serviced everyday. Access to balcony’s as standard. A/C and fridge in the room which is a necessity. Breakfast from 8-10 is filling and a great start to the day. We had rented a car to explore the entire island and used the car park next to the hotel. There’s also a small mini market just round the corner for your needs of drinks/snacks and most importantly ice cream. About a 10 minute walk into Gouvia which was a present evening stroll back (attesting lighting all the way). Will certainly stay again!

Nice and relaxing place with veru kind people
Reviewed By JCarlos LMy family and myself passed some days in the beautifull island of Corfu and had the great decission of choosing Ibtetmezzo hotel in Kontakali. The hotel is sorrounded by gardens and there is a nice sea sightseeing. The apartments are nice and cosy, the kind hand of this people is easy to find in all the details, and they are really charm and atentive people. There is a big parking lot around the gardens and a nuce beach with small bar ( sandwiches, drinks and umbrellas-sunbeds...) and big restaurant of the Kontakali Hotel just by side with free entrance for people wants to eat or dinner. With a car you are in Corfu capital in 10 mins and going back to relax is always good. Recommended.
