I absolutely loved staying here! Any small issue that I had the manager handled extremely well. All the staff there were so lovely and very helpful. The hotel itself is beautiful and is amazing value for money, very affordable yet luxurious. The room was extremely clean with a minifridge full of drinks and snacks. The hotel is located right next to the town centre which is very convenient aswell. I couldn't reccomend this place enough!

All the region of Kazanlak is beautiful and the heart of Bulgaria. In this hotel, beside having beautiful setting at the end of a road, you are by a monastery (quietness) and a trout factory. The food at the restaurant is delicious, not only trout but a very complete menu. THe staff is great.

If I returned to Kazanlak, I would go back to the Teres. During our stay the restaurant was being extensively refurbished and we walked down the road to a recommended restaurant which was excellent food and wine. I did not feel in the least bit threatened walking near the hotel late at night. The location is good for the Iskra museum and the Kazanluk Tomb. It is a traditional old building and did not have a lift, but the receptionist insisted on carrying my case up to my room.

The price was 40 levas for a single room. The furniture and equipment were old, but still functional. The heating/ventilator was very noisy, but I switched it off for the night. The bed was comfortable. The receptionist was really nice, even though she didn't speak English. They didn't mind at alll that I left half an hour after check-out. Overall it was okay.

Hostel Colours is in a great spot to walk to most major sites in Kazanluk, right on the pedestrian mall. We were met by Milcho who was so helpful with parking, directions, recommendations and any questions, perfect English. The room was spotless and cheerful. This is not a hotel so the bathroom is off the hall not in the room but it's super clean and Balkan efficient, i.e. hand held shower soap up and spot rinse style. Slippers, hair dryer, iron etc are all provided, internet was fast. We had a lovely stay.
