The property is excellent, green, clean & induced relaxation. Staff are so helpful & always ready to make stay comfortable. Excellent housekeeping ! I request management to put some more swing, net swing can be tie between two trees, that give perfect relaxation !

We visited as an organization for a staff retreat and we loved every single minute of our stay. The staff are so friendly and very creative with the menu. We enjoyed a unique meal every day. The fresh tilapia wowed everyone. The camp fire in the evening created a cozy environment for us to bond as a team. The rooms are clean and spacious. I would definitely recommend it to individuals, families and groups.

It was my first time on the Island, arrived around 6:00 in the evening using Vannesa. I found my host waiting for me and he took a picture of me with my mask on. Welcomed me to the Island. We set off for Ssehab, felt like a long drive but finally we got to Ssesehab. In the night I couldn't see the beauty properly but light of the boats in the lake felt like a small city. After a hot shower I had a good night sleep. I woke up in the morning and oooh what a beautiful view it was. I wanted to get married for once????.

This is a serene Ugandan Island Paradise, it is located along the shoreline of Lake Victoria, It is a birdwatchers paradise with a plethora of bird life and surrounded by many attractions such as the Speke monument, the magnificent Lutoboka Forest and many more. It is a perfect beach resort with a traditional African Setting and Local cuisine. The rooms are spacious and comfortable and you can also enjoy our tents for those who prefer outdoor camping.
Victoria Forest Resort is a great place in kalangala to visit. Ambiance, lake breeze, wonderful customer care, amazing food... name it all. Literally gorgeous. Can't wait to go back and would recommend any other person to go to VFR

Looking for "basic" night stay to to explore and enjoy the island, this might be it. It was inexpensive and certainly a step down from the Bravad, but at about $19 USD for the Friday night (girlfriend negotiated price down), the 1 night in the quaint cottage was enough for us to walk with our packs to the nearby ferry, no boda or car needed. There's no "panorama view" except of other cottages, fire pit, basic cottage bar and tin roofed open air restaurant or "the wild bush" that surrounds and invades the narrow walkways within the compound. The real view is a short boda ride or medium-strong uphill hike to the nearby village up top where it is nearly a breathtaking overlook across the northern expanse of Lake Victoria's Uganda side. We did have hot water for morning and evening shower after letting it run from the apparent central heater and since it was only supposed to be available for evening; and we did have room service food that served the purpose, but be prepared that while the service is nice and polite, it may take longer than you may be used to elsewhere as it is certainly not "fast food." Be sure to keep your bags closed as well as your bed mosquito netting, otherwise be prepared to live like you are staying in cottages in the bush. All in all, if there were other things you wanted to do on the island or on the way, this might be ok for a 1 or 2 night stay.

This place has the worst customer care service. We ordered for food at 7 but didn’t get it till after 11:30 and we had to go and wait for it in the kitchen. The staff are really mean. I wouldn’t advise anyone to think of going to this place
