The Soundview has gone through some changes and it's lovely. I booked the week of Memorial Day and so glad I did. A junior sweet with a kign size bed sitting area wet bar and private deck. The unit itself was very clean closet space ample and the sitting and eating area ok. A couple of caveats, we had ants in the room and there were no dressers to store any of your clothes so be prepared to live out of your suitcase. Breakfast was complementary (continental) and we took in dinner at the on premises restaurant The Halyard, reservations needed. Grilled octopus, seasonal salad and New England clam chowder was to die for. There is a pool on the property (not heated) that could have been a bit a lot cleaner and could have been skimmed. The beachfront more than made up for that as there were ample lounge chairs and that view was picture perfect. The staff were friendly and accommodating. There is also free valet parking offered as well. I would defineitely reccommend The Soundview and would probably come back for a return visit.

Lovely stay in a beautiful town

Harborside inn is a lovely hotel with a warm welcome in the heart of Greenport. Our room was large with a balcony overlooking the eponymous harborside. Bathroom, along with everywhere else, was spacious and clean. Breakfast was “continental” and although fairly limited, offered the best bagels I’ve ever had! The seating however was a little awkward as there were no tables. We sat at the bar, which was being renovated. Recommended!

We visited Greenport and stayed at the Menhaden during the week and had an amazing time overall. Rooms were clean and well decorated. The hospitality was so great and everyone at the concierge desk (Mario, Cullen and Aedan) were super helpful. We got great recommendations for restaurants and wineries, and they were very helpful overall. The hotel has a great roof deck and the galley with snacks was such a nice touch.

Average Accommodations at Premium Prices

Pretty location and the buildings looked newly renovated, but once we got settled in there were a number of issues. The biggest one was that the shower in the master bathroom didn't work. We tried calling and got no response. Good thing there were 2 bathrooms in the unit. The kitchenette was an afterthought. Aluminum baking pans, but no oven, and a microwave but no microwavable dishes. Ancient looking cook top and dishwasher crammed into the space that both looked like they were about to fall apart. There was no cable TV service for the entire time we were there. Cell phone reception was poor. They had free Wi Fi, but it wasn't secure. The walls must have been paper thin because we could hear everything going in the unit next to and above ours. The only lighting in the living/dining room were the can lights in the ceiling and they were very bright - no dimmer switch. It was OK, but for the price I was expecting something better.

The Best Place to Stay in Greenport

We really enjoyed our weekend getaway from Brooklyn at The Stirling House - where we found exceptionally clean, comfortable amenities (in the Shelter Island Room) with lovely views of Peconic Bay within walking distance of Greenport Village and the North Ferry to Shelter Island. The real gem is Clay - the host with the most, who warmly greeted us with extraordinary baked goods and Prosecco! We really enjoyed Clay’s breakfast on the porch - and his great vibes. We cannot wait to return! Also - very happy with Clay’s COVID-safe practices :)

Convenient Location in Greenport

Reviewed By Sandyw248

The Gallery Hotel is right on Main Street in the beautiful harbor front town of Greenort- a convenient spot amidst shops, restaurants and waterfront activities. This boutique hotel has a beautiful interior, with Art Deco style decor, small cozy guest rooms, comfy beds and beautiful art work. The exterior of the hotel is shabby and tired. The courtyard provided a nice spot to have a glass of wine with a charcuterie board, with tables, chairs snd lounge chairs. The staff was outstanding and very accommodating.

Cute Hotel... Pricey for the experience

Reviewed By Lauren B

I decided to take my husband away for the night for his 40th birthday. I was so excited to stay here as the photos on the website made the rooms look super luxe and clean. The stay was nice and there were high points. Let me begin by saying the room was simple but the furnishings were nice. The room was comfortable. The toiletries were so nice that I didn't have to unpack mine. The ladies who worked at the front desk were super nice. One of our favorite parts was the picnic breakfast they leave at your door in the morning. Now for the not so great. The curtains covering the windows were clearly missing as well as some wall hangings as was evident from the hooks still hanging in the wall. Our room was also above the bar which played very loud music until late at night. The most disappointing part was the shower though, it not only took forever to get barely hot enough to shower, it was also filthy, there was mold lining all the silicone surrounding the shower and truly made me question if the rest of the place had even been cleaned. Paying $400 a night for a hotel I SHOULD not feel grossed out in the shower.
