Great Staff—hotel needs updates, but clean.
Reviewed By N7474SDlisamGreat and Friendly Staff—- needs some updating but nice place to stay !! The staff here ( Shirley, Sophia , Miss, Leann & Veronica) we’re amazing. They are all like a big family and they treat their customers like family too. Thank you staff for making us feel like home. The only negative I have is that they need to renovate the rooms. We had to switch rooms due to bed broke down. Bathrooms wallpaper and tubs need redone . It’s not up to Marriott standards. Breakfast is good— like any other breakfast you get. I wish they had biscuits and gravy during our 4 day stay but that’s okay. Veronica is such amazing lady , she works hard. I enjoyed our morning talks. Overall —- I would give 4 star due to the place needing updating but I gave it 5 because the staff is so great!!!

Reviewed By AdventerousHotels that have two king beds can be hard to find. This hotel met our needs. Easy check in, comfortable beds. Good size lobby and dining area. Free breakfast included scrambled eggs, potatoes, cereals, muffins, juices and coffee. Very quiet inside of the hotel overnight. One side of the property has rooms that faces the interstate. Would stay here again if visiting Akron.

Reviewed By PLM2534Overall a very nice hotel. Room was very clean. Breakfast was free and included eggs, omelets, muffins, cinnamon rolls, etc. Pillows were nice as was water pressure. Beds are firm and walls were a little thin which made if noisy if the room next door was loud, but staff moved us to a new room. Staff were are friendly and helpful. Definitely will stay again if we are in Akron again.

Reviewed By mfiste237479For a place that advertised a hot breakfast, sure didn't offer one. And the coffee? Had to go get my own. The beds were terrible. Sit on the side and you fall into the middle. Either Wyndham or the owners need to reinvest into this hotel.

Exceptional staff, tired rooms
Reviewed By NarniatownI cannot compliment the staff enough- front desk Thomas and new head of housekeeping were helpful friendly and professional. But Marriott needs to invest in this property if they want to continue to compete on the region. The room we were initially given smelled of stale smoke, had pink mold on the tub surround, something sticky on the nightstand handle, a sofa cushion bottom completely torn off, and the floor behind the bathroom door was clearly not swept. We were quickly moved and while this room was much better it also has stained, worn carpet and upholstery. We initial thought the glass doors on the kitchenette cabinets were frosted but they actually seemed to have oily swirls of damage. The shower curtain was missing two rings, the liner was stiff and smelled of mildew, and was so short it only grazed the tub so every morning the bathroom floor ended up soaked. The bed was very comfortable, however. Not a fan of the policy to ony have one set of towels in a one bedroom king suite reserved for two adult guests (one bath, one hand and one washcloth) . Staff were very gracious in supplying us with additional, but even budget hotels provide two sets. Fyi also that due to COVID no wonderful breakfast buffet. They did the best they could with wrapped Bob Evans Sandwiches, sealed cups of cereal and oatmeal and yoghurt. But I really missed the hot food. Given the high price point for Residence we get this was a big problem. With so may other options of where to stay, this was $50 per night of an overcharge. Owner needs to refresh I'd they want to see us back.

My Fiance has a seizure condition and I am 37 weeks pregnant and under an emergency circumstances in early August we had no choice but to do a month to month stay the first hotel in Ohio was deplorable so 3 weeks ago we booked here. The staff works hard is helpful and friendly as they should be, but they go above and beyond and when my fiance slumped over at lunch due to a seizure with strike activity Jim came to my rescue helped me with him as did another tenant, calmed me down made sure I was ok and that since we were due to check out and my condition that my stay that evening would be addressed as well as with upper management once I knew he was stable! Every day after Dana, Angela ,Cheryl, and Jim and the Manager checked on me asked how he was and gave me emotional support I didn't have. The hotel is nice , it's clean and affordable but what meant the most to me is neither of us have family here and not one places staff after visiting 5 states and scares like this plus a fall that resulted in my jaw broke even apologized or helped either of us up off the ground! It's not very often these days that you hear of people even saying hello or giving a nod. And these amazing souls despite all the things that come with even a 5 star hotel that they can't control took the time to just be human! People helping people , putting others first that's what this world needs more of! From the bottom of our hearts thank you because I don't think it would have went the same otherwise for Adam or I and my soon to be first child!
